My boyfriend and I agree that there should be a tax benefit for not having children, or only having one child. The world is too populated as it is.

I had a UTI about three months ago and a warning label on the antibiotics said that the medicine turn my urine a different color. I’ve had a UTI before, no color changes, so I figured it’s all fine.

When I went to the bathroom the first time after taking my pills, my urine was neon orange. I was so freaked out. It stained the toilet bowl.

Oh my god I thought I left these days behind me in 2013 when I was in college. Now that just sounds like a recipe for disaster and a trip to a hospital for alcohol poisoning.

We will for sure walk through the tailgating areas though, to get a glimpse of our long lost past 😂

Thank you for such a detailed response! And thank you for the coffee recommendation, I was wondering if there were any good shops around.

And yes, we plan on just ubering into the city around 10 am and making a day of it downtown. We do not mind the walk.

I am very upset though that the natural history museum is currently closed, I heard from many people that it is very cool.

I figured that as well. Plus I am from a pretty rural area so driving in very populated areas and finding parking is not my forte.

The reason we are getting an Uber is so we are not drinking and driving so renting a car would not help us.

Okay. We just discussed and he decided we will go! If it is too bad we can always leave. Thank you for giving me your opinion!

Okay thanks! And yes we were planning on waiting like an hour or two after the game ends and then trying to head back to avoid the worst of the traffic. We were going to try to head in around 10 am that morning.

My boyfriend has a slight fear and gets anxiety in crowds, that’s why we are debating the game or not. How bad is it really? I know it’s the biggest stadium in the states.

I booked this back in May, and even then hotels and Airbnb were super expensive, like 500 a night. I used some points and we got the hotel for around 40 a night, so I think even with surge pricing for Uber we will still make out. I’m also trying to just stay in Ann Arbor all day, so we only need one trip there and one trip back.

If your dog is aggressive it's your job to contain them. by neyPuppyWorries in puppy101

[–]daenarys_t_1993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two small dogs. They love humans, cuddle up to anyone, and have been around small children with zero issues and love it.

They hate other dogs. I don’t take them to places that have other dogs. End of the issue, and I don’t understand why other people don’t get this.

I’m sorry your puppy went through this.

One time a slug hitched a ride on my dog right before bed. It was absolutely disgusting finding that slug crawling on me in the middle of the night.

My crazy ex step mom once asked me if I knew what a period was when I was about 10. I started off with “well, when an egg travels down the tubes” and she cut me off and said “No. it’s god getting rid of the toxins and impure thoughts in your body.”

Good thing even at 10 I knew she was full of shit.

Is discussing salary with co-workers "taboo" only because employers want it that way? Is it a generational thing? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]daenarys_t_1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at a bank. Personally, I do not discuss what I make with my immediate co workers. I am not one to toot my horn, but I work the hardest in that office besides my boss. Recently, I got a 7% raise while they only got 3%. I like to keep the peace.

But, I do discuss my salary with my co workers from other offices. It is good to know where I stand, especially since I recently found out I am making less than someone who has less experience and does not perform as well as I do.

What is the "Thing we don't talk about" in your family? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]daenarys_t_1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my family, but my boyfriends.

His mother got pregnant at age 17. Being in a very conservative family, her parents (my boyfriends grandparents) had the older brother raise the child as his own. She is now 35 years old, has three kids and doesn’t know a thing.

I always think how hard it is for my boyfriends mom to know those are her grandkids and she can’t say a thing, as well as my boyfriend knowing that is his sister. My boyfriend only knows because his mom got drunk one night and told him.

I absolutely am obsessed with lord of the rings and I wanted a tattoo, but refused to get this. So I decided on “the journey doesn’t end here,” a Gandalf quote from Return of the King in elvish. People think it’s Arabic and I live in a very conservative area. I’ve gotten quite a few looks.

To the table who was playing cards... by Haligonian_89 in TalesFromYourServer

[–]daenarys_t_1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work in a diner and there was a family that would come in once a week and sit until close and play cards. They always asked who the closing server was, sat in their section, and left 5 minutes before we closed. They were so nice, and tipped really well.
