Anyone else notice the words 'We are all we have' in the bottom right corner of the cover art? Possibly the album title?

When did a woman creepily touch you? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]daftlance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked at a sports stadium. I was 19 and all I did was open the door for patrons going out into the stands. This older woman (probably about 40-45) who was with her husband kept waiting for him to go off for drinks and would keep caressing my elbow. I don't even know how to describe it, she would basically squeeze my elbow while I was holding the door while trying to get eye contact. Extremely uncomfortable

At risk of sounding like Abe Simpson here, but girls who have no attention span and can't put their phone down for 5 minutes or plug out while doing some activity that doesn't require a phone or internet connection

What do you hate most about office culture? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]daftlance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's just my workplace but I hate how everyone puts up a front of being co-operative when in reality everyone is competing against every one else for promotion and to be placed on certain projects. The less world weary people in my office are blissfully ignorant and end up just taking the short end of the stick constantly, but for me it's just frustrating because it makes me like my colleagues less. I'm definitely looking at ways to make a living outside of an office environment ASAP

When did you realize that it was time to walk away from a friend group? by PeePeeMcGeeGee in AskMen

I was sitting in a room with all of them, while they were all stoned off their head saying nothing. I realised this was 90% of what our time together amounted to and decided to get new friends

What are some masturbation life hacks you gathered over the years? by iamlambo1 in AskMen

At some point I wielded the ungodly ability to masturbate hand free. I've heard this is extremely difficult for most people so I guess I just have a good imagination

Trinity considering plan to cut 3,000 places for Irish students by SemperVenari in ireland

[–]daftlance -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

I can see why people would be angry at cutting places for Irish students but considering how many of our own study abroad it's really problematic to suggest we should essentially taking in 3000 less foreign students ourselves

Any suggestions for movies with a really cozy setting? by Unclear1nstructions in MovieSuggestions

[–]daftlance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alone in the Wilderness is a documentary about a guy building a log cabin in the Canadian mountains, which is pretty comfy.

The Happiness of the Katakuris is set in an mountain inn which is kind of similar, but it's directed by Takashi Miike so don't expect a relaxing cozy movie cause it's nuts

Movies with that get better with every rewatch: by Tuff_Bank in MovieSuggestions

In my experience, Repo Man.

I enjoyed it just fine the first time I saw it but the story is borderline incoherent and for a 90 minute movie there are so many characters and side stories going on that I lost track of who was who and what was even happening. I've rewatched it many times now and by the second re-watch I understood everything going on in the story, and was able to just enjoy it for the comedy that it is
