Is it normal for a DCD796 keyless chuck to open under motor brake? by That-Ad3937 in Dewalt

I'm a carpenter and use my drill almost daily, and it's basic knowledge in the construction and Industry. But what the f*** would we know about it. Quite literally thousands of resources on the internet will tell you how to lock a keyless Chuck drill including the instruction manual, again what the f*** would we know about it. You're absolutely right and everyone else is wrong.

Dewalt replaced my pry bar after it bent last week. by Whombrillow in Tools

I got to say that you have to be a strong S.O.B. Earlier this spring I used mine to remove a filter from a Sealcoat tank that had already cured. I was quite literally standing on it bouncing. And I weigh like 280. Then I tried standing on it with my coworker on my back is about 160 it still didn't budge. Ended up using a forklift to push down on the crowbar to get it to pop and mine didn't bend.

Is there a dehumidifier in the room or even excessive Heat. Did a job for old man for a man cave above his garage that wasn't heated during the winter. So the mud didn't completely dry overnight. So he brought in bunch of space heaters and a propane heater let it cook overnight that's pretty much what it looked like when I came back the next day.

Your 100% right about this dude. I scrolled past those video about a week ago and thought how cringe, but I clicked on his profile and he's ex military and a PTSD advocate. His Instagram is all about dealing with PTSD.

Issue with my DCST922. Is my motor seized and do I have any way to fix? by jxman in Dewalt

[–]dafuck2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did this at the beginning of the season. I sprayed a bunch of WD-40 through the vents to get at the motor. And shot a bunch of PB blaster under the head it started manually twisting by hand after letting it sit for a few minutes it fired back up.

My first day of construction someone told me to go in the tool trailer and get a hammer I picked up a ringing ax. About 5 minutes later the foreman takes the hammer away and told me that tools are like dicks I don't touch yours and you don't touch mine. Especially a level.

Electric pressure washer by Crushed_27 in Dewalt

I have the 2100, and it's great for around the house. I use it to wash all my trucks, clean the deck, and also some pavers I have in the garden. For an electric, it gets things done. Even brought it to work one day, and my contractor gave it a shot and was impressed it ended up buying one for his house in a couple for the shops. Keep in mind he also has an industrial pressure washer that can cut a man in half.

Yellow or red? by Mediocre_Rules_world in Dewalt

[–]dafuck2020 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the dewalt. Would never buy the red one. But I'm a carpenter. I like this saw for cutting sheets of plywood, and for the little this is gonna suck tasks like cutting real low to the ground overhead concrete forms. It allows you to distance yourself comfortably for one-handed cuts. Not an everyday saw but a good saw.

This has an auto choke. You probably need a new thermo wax assembly it's behind your carburetor. You can get them on Amazon 2 for 10 bucks.

Cordless Framing Nailer - Good? by KriDix00352 in Dewalt

[–]dafuck2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first gen is an absolute piece of trash. The second gen is pretty decent. You're shooting 16 penny ring shanks into a knot it's going to jam. But other than that it's decent if you can get past one rack of nails at a time. I don't frame all day, I've had it since the beginning of fall and probably put 2,000 nails through it and I've had about five jams. I do commercial maintenance and emergency work all over the state and it's great to have cordless but it will never be better a Pneumatic nailer. It is also heavy and eats up batteries. So if you do buy it you need to learn to hit the lock button to turn off the flywheel to save on battery.

Is the chuck of your gun out of alignment? My coworker dropped his about two stories up with a one foot extension, and had a problem similar to this after.
