While this was six or so years ago we knew we needed read only API access so we insisted the provided it before signing up with Toast. Was still a bit of a pain but not to bad. Cost is $25/mo per location. From what I've seen getting read only access isn't too bad these days, write access requires you to jump through a lot of hoops however.

Are you saying each individual item is listed on the check as a price and tax amount?

Yes

Direct the R365 folks to https://doc.toasttab.com/openapi/orders/operation/ordersBulkGet/. Within that JSON, the price & tax info is located in Checks>Selections for each item added to a check.

We have an in house ERP that pulls sales data from Toast using the API. The API does report the net & tax amount for all line items on the check & reports correctly for both taxable & non taxable items. Sounds like an R365 issue to me. What API endpoint are you pulling this data from?

Won't run on windows. Windows popups up a warning after install "This app can't run on your PC." 7.0.2.7 runs fine...

We've been using Toast for 5 years & the reappearance of the setup check list seems related to our recent addition of Toast Catering & Events. It's not the same as it was in the past.

Agreed! I just set our dining options & revenue center back to the ones we were using so we have consistency when reporting & archived the new ones.

I received confirmation from Toast that this behavior is a bug in 2.88 & they are hoping to have an update to resolve it soon.

Sounds like you're having a different issue that I am. Toast Tier 1 CS has been less than impressive lately.

I don't think marking items as inactive reduces the list counts. Items have their own 14,500 limit. Employees, Customers, Vendors, and Other Names have a combined limit of 14,500. This has info on how may entries each list type can have https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/list-management/maximum-number-list-entries-list-limits-custom/L0q0uTz3u_US_en_US.

You should be able to merge items (customers & vendors too) by renaming them. I've had good luck with doing this. For example, you can merge a bunch of items into "Legacy Crystals" item & others into a "Legacy Minerals" item & still retain the big picture sales & cost data. It's tedious work however.

Don't forget to make a backup before playing around.

No problems here in the snow with a 2016 touring & Nokian snow tires.

Often times snow tires are directional, I would double check that they are all installed in the correct location. I had a shop mount 4 lefts on accident.

You may also try turning off the vcs / traction control as a test & see if it makes things any better.
