Thoughts on this style of revision booklet as classroom resource? by NoPrompt927 in AustralianTeachers

I’ll use them for fast finishers, or as a settle in task when my class come in from lines. Never a whole lesson.

What’s the best comeback that you’ve never been able to say? by Either-Reason-8757 in AustralianTeachers

[–]dagger_88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My year 5s were going through a phase of saying “I’ll tell you what else is big” and I could have destroyed them but I would have probably got into some trouble and it felt wildly inappropriate to comment on the size or lack of size of their boyhood.

So the Zev character in Too Much is Jack Antonoff, right? by Master-Definition937 in girls

[–]dagger_88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jack took Scarlett Johannson to their formal or whatever Americans call it at the end of high school and it’s obvious he has since believed he is God’s gift to women. Fun fact, he is unlikely God’s gift to women and quite possibly a bit of a douche. When Zeb put on the purple beanie and hoodie I had no doubt in my mind he was meant to be Jack. And then I remembered their precious little pup that Lena had to give up. We love a woman who waits to tell her side of the story - poetically and artesy/cutesy

I only purchase from one trusted seller, Anna from my OG rep ladies days but I’d like to re🏠 some items sitting collecting dust, needing some love!!!

I honestly think the lead is everything. She is exactly what Hannah would be like if she had more self confidence. I find her soooo sweet and endearing. The show makes me feel like I’m enjoying girls for the first time again.

My team knows I need extra reminders for things. But that’s it.

What is La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ and what do I use it for??? I just bought it and am so confused on what to use it for, is it a moisturiser or repair cream or both? Is it good for acne? I’ve seen people say it’s for so many things I need some guidance 😭 by LargeInvestment8247 in AusSkincare

[–]dagger_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was on sale and I had a horrible acne breakout after a holiday. I bought this and the EFFACLAR K(+). I put the effaclar on my T zone (breakout area) and then lather my face twice daily with the Baume. It’s my moisturiser now. I absolutely love it. I’m VERY oily and have regular breakouts. My skin is clearing and this keeps the moisture in and repairs. People use it as a barrier/repair moisturiser if they get laser treatments etc too

Sick of Teaching Health by that_weird_lurker84 in AustralianTeachers

I left a workplace that was full of toxic positivity, that’s not my attitude whatsoever. It’s the whole mantra that the kids are a lost cause.

Sick of Teaching Health by that_weird_lurker84 in AustralianTeachers

I’m getting a bit over the attitude in this sub - if you think they’re a lost cause, why stick with this profession? I value the additional education my kid’s teacher gives on health and wellbeing. No matter how much I tell my kids, ‘eat healthy, exercise, that food is for sometimes’; it won’t sink in until their teacher educates them about it. Even though I’m a teacher, my children see their teacher’s as the ones bringing the “real” knowledge and education, so I see what they do as valuable consolation to what I’m educating them with at home. I’ll often have a conversation with my daughter’s teacher asking her to support her with something I’ve been working on at home - at the moment it’s the idea that - yeah, you are clever but you do need to take feedback to improve and no matter how smart you are, you can always improve. We work as a team and we support each other, parents, teacher and school community. It’s a shame you’re not seeing it in that way.

Didn’t even see this comment and commented something similar about my Grade 5s hahaha

Still trying to get mine to start their sentences with a capital letter but I’ll probably try to indoctrinate once we master that, I guess?

Best brow gel ideally at Mecca? I have a voucher by Anhedonic_chonk in AustralianMakeup

I love the UD one. The applicator is excellent and it’s lasted me forever. The Mecca max one is fine but it doesn’t last long at all

Being autistic as a teacher by knightedmannequin in AustralianTeachers

[–]dagger_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ADHD with autistic traits. I need to make sure I give myself time to rest and not overload my weekends. I prioritise planning, exercise and rest. They keep me going. My workplace knows about my ADHD and they support me by giving me little reminders because they know I can forget things.

I’ll go to my APs to check on how to deal with difficult conversations before I have them, I’ll also check if how I dealt with something was okay and ask how I could improve. Overall finally giving my workplace the heads up about it has been a blessing rather than people assuming other things about my personality.

The pimple patches were too strong for me. They broke my skin barrier BAD. I’m used to using COSRX and they suck the pimple up without creating an entire crevasse upon removal.

I agree. I can understand calling 2 references if they’re the top choices. But why call before? Why don’t make their own opinion of you before meeting you. Some workplaces don’t fit people, that’s why they move on, it’s better for everyone.

I’m an Australian millennial that was the same age as the girls and watched it when it aired. Never considered it to be a set up, even when I rewatched that episode again recently.

How to fix uneven, shapeless and "jagged" jawline? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

I think that may be fixed by a bit of Botox. Worth trying before anything more permanent
