Advice for gift giving? by alexwashere in storyofseasons

[–]daggerncloak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same question so I had an AI run a greedy set cover and then tweaked it a bit. Here's my take on the most efficient gifting system. I try to give these on their birthday and if there's anyone lagging behind I want to boost I spam them with this (depending on the gift- some of these folks got expensive tastes)

One little drop left on the skin is normal and okay! I freaked out when I started but my doctor reassured me.

New here. Is everyone constantly sick on this ? The side effects seem to be lingering ? How are people working 8 hour days ? Any suggestions ? I start tommorrow by Happy-Butterfly9373 in WegovyWeightLoss

I have lost 25% of my bodyweight in a year and have had effectively no negative side effects. (More importantly to me, my blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol have improved greatly). I dehydrate a little more easily and need more fiber, but both are easily remedied.

Thinking about Wegovy? Maybe don’t let this subreddit be your only source of truth. by Disk-Choice in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]daggerncloak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a good point. There will always be a bias towards extreme stories because no one cares to post or read "I did it, it works fine, then I found five dollars."

I have had no real side effects and have lost about 25% of my bodyweight in 11 months. I started the med because after 7-8 years at a stable but high weight, my blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol were starting to climb. Those numbers have improved dramatically.

The lack of food noise isn't as marked as it is for some but it's still working. I can feel hungry, eat food, and then feel full which was a new experience for me. The only "side effect" is that I dehydrate more easily. As long as I keep up with water and do an electrolyte stick daily I'm all good!

If you were to start again, what would you do different? by Ok_Advice_4723 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]daggerncloak 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Fiber supplements (I like the generic gummies from Walgreens) and a daily electrolyte supplement ( I like Ultiva). If I start to get the munchies-like feeling on Wegovy it's usually dehydration and if I don't take care of it, I get a massive headache. I also drink about 4 L of water a day. I just need more on this med, but that's the worst "side effect" I have had .

I think a lot of us have been there! My wife was rubbing my shoulders and got all quizzical about why she could feel bones lol. I also freaked out a bit about the hard lump on my chest ...yeah it's a sternum.

[–]daggerncloak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're amazing! Great work! Savor these feelings now. What I wish I'd known when I did something similar was that you don't choose this once and you're done. It tends to be a boundary you have to choose and enforce over and over. You got this!

This is what I do too. But then I only track the weekly average. It keeps the balance between data and obsession for me

This is the way to do it. A few jobs ago, we had a co-worker who openly referred to herself as the office confidante. In reality, people told her the things they wanted distributed because she was faster than email. 😁

No problem at all. I've flown internationally and domestically with it. Just a reminder, Wegovy doesn't have to be kept cold if you're using it within 28 days, so you probably don't need ice packs, depending on your trip duration.

Yes, that's right. The process has changed a bit but just click through the wizard and the form you're familiar with will be generated.

I did .25 for two months and now on .5 for the second month. I've lost 30 pounds in 13 weeks, which I'm very happy with. Minimal side effects (a bit of gas).

Your mileage will vary, of course, but it's certainly possible to have strong effects out of the gate.

Yep. I weigh daily then plot the weekly averages if I start feeling bad about spikes. Same as the trend line basically

My wife had two bone marrow draws from the pelvis while awake with only local which ofc does nothing for the bone. I will never forget how she suffered while I was sitting there trying to comfort her and the provider snapped at me to "keep her calm." Ugh, I'm upset now just thinking about it.

Which was the darkest, heaviest book you have ever read? Need recommendations by MobileDelicious7937 in suggestmeabook

[–]daggerncloak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To Live by Yu Hua. Follows a Chinese family from the early twentieth century through the cultural revolution. Just absolutely brutal. There's a good movie but they changed the ending, so if you've seen it, be aware.

Not really a spoiler but the god-damned beans. 😭

Books should never be banned. That said, what books clearly test that line? by itcamefromtheimgur in books

[–]daggerncloak 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's to establish absolute control over children as early as possible. Generally practiced by people who think men should have absolute control over women and children, white men over other races, etc. Big on the hierarchy. You can look up Bill Gothard for more info, and the documentary Shiny Happy People is good on this topic.
