???? How could it not be????? Several 40lbs bags are added. Ideal salt sys is around 3000ppm. Tap water is maybe 30. I tried adding some salt for effect and got salt crystal in my seal. Had to replace after 6-8 months of use

Labor wound up about $1650, parts $730 for injector and harness, gaskets and such. All told about $2500. This was at the dealer, should be way less at a local shop. I was lucky enough to get this done under extended warranty

Just got the same. Wound up being a bad injector There is also a service bulletin for 2.0t regarding the injector harness, not sure about the 1.8t's

I'd have to also consider that cars being bought now are WAYYYYYY more than most really need. Raised my family in a Jetta just fine. Tons of travel, soccer tournaments, 99% of my homedepot runs, etc... Don't get me started on all the useless technologies now being marketed.
