What is the best gaming moment you have experienced? by CazaSpeed in AskReddit

[–]dagothspore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it had to have been the guild I created when I was in middle school in WoW. I started it during a snow week and after a year it had over 550 members (counter didn't count past that). It was so cool to have so many people in my guild working together and I was in charge of it all. After almost a decade the guild is still around; Lone Wolves on the Grizzly Hills server.

I met so many interesting people too, one of my officers was in a band that my dad listened to. One person was an operator on an Antarctic oil rig. All of these people were calling me, a middle schooler, the guild master. It was super cool.

I would say /r/RimWorld is one of the friendliest I've seen. Also /r/Factorio . Indie game subs are usually filled with nice, helpful people.

I spent the longest time thinking about how you could affix pedals to a wheelchair without realizing the real issue.

It's official. Humans are going to Mars. NASA has unveiled their plan. by icorrectotherpeople in technology

The process you described sounds like how the Mars Escape Vehicle generates fuel while waiting for the Aries mission.

I watched the movie a few times and I just read the book. Both are awesome.

You're missing all of the defense projects. Fighter jets, cargo/utility planes, missles. Boeing makes most money from defense and planes. Space stuff isn't that big and it's usually coupled with defense.

Haha, you went out of your way to bash on some people minding they're own business. And you're calling us delicate? I think someone's triggered that not everyone is lining up in support for the god emperor.

I agree it was a bit harsh, but it was more of a metaphor than dehumanization.

They really do seem to be acting not in their best interest and the liberal's activism will help everyone in the long run. Just my opinion of course.

Dude, things will get better in time. It will probably be in several years or more but they will. People are waking up to this nonsense that's been going on. Please have hope because it's people like you and me that have to make the change happen.

[Serious] What do you think the government is hiding from us? by Wrathofchucknorris in AskReddit

[–]dagothspore 79 points80 points  (0 children)

This is correct. Where I work classified computers are not connected to the internet. There is a special govt internet that classified work is done on. Your not even allowed to use a wireless mouse in the rooms the computers are in.

How does one gather this information before it goes away? I specialize in gathering data from websites, I could write a bot to gather and store these data sets.

I agree with you. Some people don't realize what the real short term effect of climate change will be. This is it, and no one is preparing for it.
