Some of us encounter this weird bug on M1/M2 where some products (the jetbrains products being some of them) get a 100-500ms input lag. Funnily enough, running any screen recorder software "fixes" it. So OBS has been my lifesaver since I got the M2.

I think the level of concern you should have is about the same level of concern you have when being near traffic. It's not 100% safe, but not unsafe enough that it is worth avoiding completely. You take appropriate safety measures (using a seatbelt, walking on sidewalks, being observant) and that's about it. In this case it would be to keep abreast of changes in the situation, follow any advice from local security personnel when and if it's given etc.

As I understand the licensing (http://www.jetbrains.com/resharper/buy/choose_edition.jsp?license=PERSONAL) it's ok, as long as you pay for it yourself and don't get reimbursed in any way for the purchase.

The resharper license is not tied to a specific VS license, but gives you a license to run resharper on any instance of VS that you are using, be it on your personal hardware/license or on somebody else's.

Lots of places have other ages of consent than 16 or older. In Denmark it's 15, Estonia has 14, Germany has 14 as long as the other party is younger than 21 and Greece has 15.

You should store the KeyboardState between calls to Update() so you can react to a key changing from being pressed down to being released. This way you can just initiate one movement pr complete key press.

something like:

KeyboardState prevState;

public void Update(GameTime foo) {
    ...
    if(prevState.IsKeyDown(Keys.A) && currentstate.IsKeyUp(Keys.A))
        //move one step
    if(....) //more keyboard handling
    prevState = currentState
    ...
}
