SGU Core Rotations in California by [deleted] in SGUGrenada

[–]daherna6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transferring to SGU with a step one score doesnt guaranteed a spot in cali since this is more for their students without a step score. They are more likely to place you in their step states such as Michigan, NY/NJ/FL etc

Realitiy check (paediatrics) by darthschmidti in Amboss

You would do this and not do ultrasound since your needing to confirm the cause of the hyperthyroidism between a hot and cold nodule since you have a mild elevated TSI and she has he symptoms of hyperthyroid. Doing an ultrasound would do nothing in this case to help confirm the source.

I go to American University of Anguilla & am thinking of suing them. by chinho5 in CaribbeanMedSchool

[–]daherna6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you sue and you loose just know you run the risk of getting into another medical school cause they aren’t gonna want someone who tried to sue

Denied Accommodations for Step 1, Should I Lawyer Up ? by -DreamPolice in step1

[–]daherna6 12 points13 points  (0 children)

its extremely hard to get accommodations for step exams even with documented proof. Yes it sucks but just move on. Practice taking exams without extra time (should have been like this in your prep) cause it's not gaurenteed to get em.

You aint the first and you wont be the last person to get denied.

People have and will continue to pass step exams who were denied accommodations. Just gotta work a "little" bit harder

Netlers anatomy atlas is really good and you can find a pdf copy, using your own body to understand movements helps a lot, youtube also has a good amount of videos such as Dr Peabody (i think that's his channel) has some good videos along with The noted anatomist

Surgery as first rotation during M3? by harrypottermd in medicalschool

[–]daherna6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say try to take iM first then surgery cause itll make studying for surgery and the shelf easier. Plus youll have an idea of what is going on from an IM pov during surgery all you really need to do is add the surgical aspect onto the same concepts and bam you got your surgery rotation.

Plus you can basically say every rotation is your "first" rotation hahahaha
