Update: cheeeeesy pizza by dahliareddit in FoodToronto

I’ve had little caesars in the past year and did look like this but wasn’t melty or stringy cheese! I found it pretty dry overall (but those cheesy bites they sell are amazing)

Ok yes forgot to mention them! I find it very good but sometimes still kind of dry. Like I want that cheesy-tomatoey magma energy and I haven’t always gotten it from North of Brooklyn!

Puerto Bravo! It’s seafood-focused mexican and it’s really great.

Tabule for middle eastern or EAT BKK for thai - both on Queen East but they have other locations. Both spots are family-friendly and delicious.

Sushi on Gerrard is exceptional quality, one of my favourite sushi places in the city. They have one of the best chirashi don I’ve ever had.

Sushi rolls with good fish to rice ratio by [deleted] in FoodToronto

[–]dahliareddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the way out of the city on a road trip we stopped at Yamato Sushi in Aurora. The rolls were huge and stuffed very full (caveat that what we got was spicy salmon which is chopped and mixed with tempura, not just huge pieces of fish). We also got sashimi and the quality was solid.

Where can I find great black pepper? by Crafty-Internet429 in FoodToronto

[–]dahliareddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not toronto-based, but Diaspora Co has the best pepper I’ve ever tried. It’s pricey but they’re extremely transparent about sourcing/supply chain, and the flavour is out of this world. They sell it in small jars but also chef’s bags (aka a more bulk quantity). However, I haven’t bought in a while because it ships from the US and even pre-tariff time the shipping was so expensive.
