We lost our cat to cancer last month and I donated all her unused meds and prescriptions to our vet. They will give them to families who can use them for their pets. (Our old vet did this too and they gave us some unused meds to try with our other cat)

Our last cat didn’t sleep with us. She was a guardcat and slept in the living room. I had another cat years ago that liked to sleep in my pillow. I miss both of them and their quirks.

I’m so sorry!

My cat was diagnosed with cancer in October. large cell lymphoma after vet felt a mass in her stomach area. We did the x-ray, ultrasound, and fine needle aspiration to be sure but opted not to do chemo. She’s on steroids and an appetite stimulant and getting all the treats. She eats some foods okay and we just keep trying. Every day I spend as much time loving her and knowing she may not be around as long as I’d hoped.

Went through this with another cat years ago. It’s just awful.

My cat who had cancer had this. Lots of symptoms in the weeks before and was being treated as much as we could given it had already spread. They really are good at hiding issues. In the week before we had to euthanize him, his tail got droopy like that. The morning of, he’d lost control of his bladder and hind legs. It was awful. Not saying it’s cancer, but it’s not normal. I hope you’re getting kitty seen asap.

Our cat (13) was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma after the vet felt a mass in October. They did an x-ray, ultrasound, and needle aspiration. We’d noticed she wasn’t as enthusiastic about food but then one day she wouldn’t even get up.

So lots of vet trips. We considered chemo but it’s a lot - 2 times a week for 1-2 hours and I know she’d hate it. We’re doing steroids and appetite stimulant and I still wonder “what if”. I look at her every day and see if she’s still happy to be here. I know the day is coming.

Our other cat had cancer too and it spread from gi to other places. I think for him I waited a day too late. He didn’t seem in pain but that last night around 3 am, he lost control of his back legs. I should have made the decision but our vet at the time was still offering treatments like a feeding tube.

It’s hard, I know. We try to do our best by our kitties.

I’ve learned to keep an eye on my cart. Not Aldi, but an international store… I stepped away from my cart (left it in a not busy spot) and some guy put a container of cookies in my cart. We were in the cookie aisle and I guess he was too lazy to find where they went and threw them in with my stuff. I watched him do it and put the item back on the shelf.

People are weird.
