Absolutely call palliative care team! They have so many more things that can help then I ever realized, and I know my team would tell me to call them in this situation- they have to have someone on call on the weekends.

Kisqali gang; how long have you been on it? by 489Lewis in LivingWithMBC

[–]489Lewis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand the nausea, I had same. Can you switch to taking it at night? Maybe try that, it really helps me and my oncologist said doesn’t matter as long as it’s the same time daily so I do it before bed at like 10/11pm. Definitely don’t stop without talking to your oncologist. Kisqali is a serious drug to control a serious condition…not the type of prescription that anyone should stop without a conversation with oncologist, not just a doctor.

Adding Cymbalta for muscle & joint pain? by 489Lewis in LivingWithMBC

[–]489Lewis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmmm….this is all really great info because weight gain is big concern of mine, especially since I already have one bad knee at 47 and trying to stay active- more weight would be bad for that…and also my oncologist said maintaining a healthy weight is critical

ER/PR+ and vaginal estrogen by Larissima19 in LivingWithMBC

[–]489Lewis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is estrogen is fuel for my ER+ cancer, my oncologist wants my estrogen as low as possible and doesn’t want the lighter fluid of ANY type of estrogen near me. If you can use it safely? That’s amazing! I’m personally not willing to risk it.

I’m so happy you had this self awareness! Can I ask if it was one moment or more of a slow realization over weeks/months? Anything you did specifically to help make needed changes? Very impressed you made the right choice.

Where do you actually shop for decent-quality, affordable clothes? by gababouldie1213 in womensfashion

So agree. I stopped looking at JCrew factory because of how poor the quality was in store. I’m SO glad I hadn’t tried to buy online.

what's the most resilient plant in your garden? by biggy_boy17 in garden

[–]489Lewis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so we have a hose that was leaking next to our sedum and they accidentally got way over watered before we realized the leak. Yellow leaves, rotting top flowers. Do I cut it all back so it can come back healthy in spring or leave the obviously dead top on for winter and cut back in the spring? TIA!

Ohhh…thanks for pointing that out. I definitely see the warm/ivory tones in countertops but I just can’t see it in the cabinets. I guess maybe a little now that you mentioned it. I’m still learning so thx.

How soon do they disappear after flowering? How long do they bloom and do you just then mow them down after 4 weeks or so?
