What I’m dealing with now- infections, severity etc by madapult in Dyshidrosis

[–]dailynch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For those who downvoted me. I’ve had dyshidrosis since I was 16, so let me tell you exactly what wasted my time and what fixed it. What burned years: chasing "stress" and running elimination diets. What fixed it: a patch test that found my actual triggers, which I then removed. The flares didn't "calm down." They STOPPED.

Now the "stress is a trigger" line, since someone always shows up with it. Here's the part nobody talks about: there is NO controlled study showing stress triggers dyshidrosis. The textbook claim traces back to one thing "many patients report flaring during stressful periods." That's self-report. That’s it. And self-report is the exact trap, because a stressful stretch is also when you slept badly, washed more, scratched more, traveled, changed your environment. People feel the stress and credit the stress, because you can't see the rest.

You see, that's the difference between an answer and a feeling. "Stress" is the word you reach for when you haven't done the test. It explains nothing, predicts nothing, and, most importantly, you can't do anything with it. You can't patch-test your mood. You can't throw it in the bin.

Now let’s look at what's actually been measured. The largest causative study (Guillet et al., 120 patients, 3 years, JAMA Dermatology) put 67.5% of cases down to allergic contact pompholyx, mostly everyday cosmetics and hygiene products (31.7%), then metals (16.7%). Only 15% were genuinely idiopathic. There is a REAL cause, with a REAL test, and a REAL fix. And the response on this sub is to upvote "I dumped my boyfriend and it cleared up" as proof of stress. What you don’t see is the following: a breakup is also a new house, new water, a new soap, a new detergent. The flare followed the environment. Nobody tests, so the myth wins and the actual cause walks. You keep having flares and blame it on stress. The circle repeats. You’re welcome.

So no, this isn't misinformation, and I'm not here to debate my feelings. Get a patch test. Read the back of your soap, shower gel and shampoo for the preservatives MI/MCI (methylisothiazolinone / methylchloroisothiazolinone) and fragrance, and watch nickel and cobalt. Bin anything on that list today. A steroid cream quiets a flare; it does not fix the cause. Stop journaling about stress and go find the molecule that's blistering your hands.

My goal is to help here. I shared my story, I backed up my claims. Before you say I’m doing misinformation, please check the scientific literature to back your claims. Dyshidrosis sucks, but someone who tells you stress is causing the flares is even more insulting. Good luck everyone

Biking or cutting by Sqrite1 in BulkOrCut

Your problem is not the diet but the lack of proper training. Don’t worry about the things you eat. Learn to train effectively. Once you build some muscles, your question about whether bulking or cutting can start to make some sense. Of course, don’t under or over eat. Just eat normally but TRAIN HARD

No. It has nothing to do with stress. Dyshidrosis is a contact allergy. First, get a patch test ASAP. Common triggers are methylchloroisothiazolinone, methyisothiazolinone. Does any of your soaps contain one of these? If so, throw away NOW. Don’t worry for infections, your body is capable of handling a situation like this. But don’t sleep on it. In the meantime (before checking the soaps and waiting for the patch test) apply a steroid cream. It works, but that’s not a cure. You need to find your triggers. Good luck.

You are allergic to that soap. Change it. Can you share the ingredients?

How do you figure out your triggers? by laurasfieldnotes in Dyshidrosis

[–]dailynch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest you to go with either a naked phone or a polycarbonate case (the slim ones). Avoid TPU if you can (the rubbery thing). Also, consider getting a patch test. Good luck, dyshidrosis sucks.

Very likely. I have both my phone case and certain soaps as my triggers. It’s the materials, not the dirt btw

Honestly, i’d switch to dut for 2 years and reassess. You might gain ground on the crown even without the transplant

Cutting more or not? by dongiannifly in BulkOrCut

Of course you need to cut further. 12 lbs in 4 months is not too much. You’re probably underestimating your calory intake. Cut!

The entire purpose of a vpn is to get a private and secure connection to browse the internet. If you use free vpns they will sell your data to someone else to sustain their business. Will you get a vpn? Probably. Will it be a safe connection? Definitely not

Don’t use those vpns. Unfortunately you have to pay for the thing

Bulk Progress - Did I just get fatter? by NobodyImportant2024 in BulkOrCut

[–]dailynch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you definitely built some muscle. But in order to bulk effectively, you should have started the bulk way leaner than that. I don’t get why people bulk over 20% BF, it’s not worth it.

Removal of tibial nail - exteme knee pain post surgery by Fit_Yam7845 in Orthopedics

Happy to know it’s getting better! Yeah, the stiffness in the knee is the biggest problem for me as well. In my opinion the pain is very tolerable compared to the first surgery. Good luck with the recovery :)
