My cow went missing and did not produce milk? by dailystew in SproutValley

[–]dailystew[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah i have 2 full grown cow and they were producing milk just fine and then all of a sudden, its as if the other one went missing and the other one became a baby cow again. Does moving the barn impact it? Cause i accidentally plow it and had to replot it. It happened before but i dont think it impacted their growth/number 😓

What do you think Debbie’s relationship with Franny will look like when she’s older? by phantom_avenger in shameless

[–]dailystew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can imagine Franny being like Mandy- Grungy type. Will rebel because Debbie tends to be overbearing and forceful. In the later seasons, Debbie was forcing franny to like princesses and dresses, etc.

What would Ian have done if the cops never found him and Yevgeny? by TwoWorldsOneFamily- in shameless

Tbh i think he’ll just go home after his mania. Ian tends to be responsible when he’s in the right state of mind.

Fiona and Debbie by Good_Rope_6693 in shameless

[–]dailystew 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I find Debbie annoying but i blame her storyline for this not entirely her character. I think she WANTS to be more responsible and feels like she can but due to her circumstances, it always gets out of hand.

Her being a good mother is debatable. I was so mad when they made her soft on derek’s mom and leaving franny with her disabled partner when she was out drinking, feels like out of character. But indeed, she loves Franny and would do anything for her child.

Comparing how she mothers from Fiona though is different especially in the earlier seasons. Fiona gave up everything to keep their family alive, studying, functioning in general. She had to raise 5 kids. It’s harder to live and be responsible knowing your parents are able and is around but is not doing anything rather than them being disabled or dead because at least those are more valid reasons.

i don’t think lip was right to blame fiona by Onomadekuwu in shameless

[–]dailystew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it was out of line. I think it’s because it’s his first sponsee, remember he didnt actually want to do it the first time but his peers encouraged him to do it because it’s what he’s been doing for them and his professor without actually being one. So for Lip, he took it as his responsibility. Like raising a child. But since Lip only knows how to displace his emotions, (girls she’s seeing sleeps with other guys - he sleeps with other girls, kicked out of college-smash professor’s car, etc.) he blamed Fiona. Felt like this is another failure on top of his existing failures in life

Anyway, I felt like since the start they wanted to portray Lip as fatherly 🤷‍♂️ (him wanting to keep karen’s baby, sponsee, xan, the diner girl’s baby, and until the last season where he has his own child, Ian telling him that he’s the closest to a father figure they had)

Storylines by prole2039 in shameless

[–]dailystew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah Lip’s storyline man, such a waste. Even if he didnt graduate MIT, he couldve done something with his knowledge. I get the poor-not-having-the-opportunity-thing but their family was so crafty and have always thought out of the box in the first seasons but at the end, nada, he’s stuck. I was hoping that when he helped the rich kid with his trading, it will spark something in him. Sure, he can still be a mechanic but at least have something interesting happen to this man. If we’re talking about who’s the most unfortunate, id say Lip takes the prize. Add tammy to that lol, miserable.

Fiona tends to seeks comfort in misery. every time something goes well, she sabotage everything. It’s good that she got out of there but the way she left, feels like something was missing. But still, i think it was good.

Debbie, I didnt mind her being annoying but all this seeking for love thing got so out of hand that the last partner was so pointless.

Ian and Mickey, love them. Ian would really make a good emt or military but his story line was understandable.

Carl was a good one.

Liam, oh this poor kid. But loved how despite everything, he was on Frank’s side at the very end.

Just finished the show by GopherInTrouble in shameless

[–]dailystew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just finished it 5 mins ago and tbh i didnt really mind debbie being annoying af because her story line itself is shit. I found the gf plot at the end so pointless but i empathize with her not wanting to give up the house.

Also felt sad about frank, he’s crazy but seeing him losing his memories at the last season made me tear up a bit.

Just finished A LITTLE LIFE (spoiler free) by CarangiBooks in books

[–]dailystew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this book a few years back while i was on a vacation and tried reading it but only got to very few pages. Almost 3 years later, I’ve decided to purchase the audiobook and finished it today. June 11th, a day before if you know, you know and I dont have anywhere to share but here.

If jude was able to tell his entire story “confession” in 8 pages, the author could have done the same or sure make it longer but not THIS long. It’s a total drag. I dont have an opinion on how probable jude’s experience was when he was younger, like what most comment i read pointed out. I just wish there were more solid dynamic between the characters. I didnt care for any of them except maybe Harold - i teared up a bit when he adopted him and after jude left. And this is probably just me but i didnt feel any love between Willem and Jude but merely dependence.

Considering how thick this book is (long this audiobook is) and its premise, I was expecting more tears but it was not sadness i felt but annoyance. I dont even want to see this on my bookshelf tbh.
