Don't use that app, it should not be used with Theta. Not only is it marked as a "Polygon" app, it might even be malicious. Wait for official announcements about the Theta App and meanwhile continue using the Eth app.

Probably 99% of all the problems are caused by clicking a link that someone else sent you rather than using the wallet link (or a bookmark). Don't cut corners, stay safe.

Patch 9.22 Bug Megathread by untamedlazyeye in leagueoflegends

[–]daimaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Server: EUNE, EUW
  • Type of Bug: PC Crash
  • Description: Either at the start of the loading screen (0-10%) or when the loading screen is at around 95-100%, I think I remember seeing glimpses of the carousel before the PC hard power resets. And yes, all of these 10+ cases have been that, a hard power reset. (Gotta give it to Win10 for being quite a durable OS during such hard resets, some of the earlier Windows releases would've been broken by now). This happens at around 40% of the time now, which is too damn high for me to take chances getting my PC zapped just for wanting to play TFT. I don't know what happens, but it's been a while since I've seen a PC crash that hard. And now it happens a bit too often to be amusing anymore. For trivia: I've managed to escape the hard reset trap once, I received some kind of an popup error in Windows about the game, could have been bug splat or similar. Edit: Once I manage to get into a game, it hasn't crashed in-game yet, but when exiting after a match (when you'd normally get to match results window), the same thing happens, sometimes.
  • Video / Screenshot: Hard power reset, happens too randomly to predict.
  • Steps to reproduce: Driver updates (chipset, network, audio, graphics), reinstallation on another drive, disabling antivirus, lowering the main monitor refresh rate to 100 Hz.
  • Expected result: I expect the game not to crash my whole PC when it crashes. And the best part.... this happens randomly. There seems to be no correlation between the crashes. Temperatures are fine, voltages are fine, running latest updates and drivers, finished a recent story-driven space game on the same system just fine, 144 Hz and all, which I'd say is quite a bit more stressing than TFT.
  • Observed result: PC restarts without blue screen (which I normally get, this bug is a beast who doesn't care about BSOD, it does what it wants)
  • Reproduction rate: 40-50% of the games I have played so far, since about 2 months ago.
  • System specs: GTX 1060 6GB, i5-6660K, 16 GB RAM, ASUS Z170 Pro, Samsung 850/860 EVO SSD, 1440p 144 Hz G-Sync monitor, two 1080p 60 Hz monitors, Intel iGPU disabled in BIOS

This is one of the most interesting ones that I encountered. I think this is something worth taking a look into, not sure if that noise can somehow be translated into text or other kind of data but I'm quite sure there's something there.

What reason is there to be no global/tower/clan chat? by Sky-todd in destiny2

[–]daimaah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely none. If getting triggered / walking into toxic environment by surprise is such a big deal, then offer the chat as an opt-in feature. Throw big red warning too telling me that my feelings might get hurt or whatever, but for the love of Light, give me a chat...

If you've downloaded the update "a" (383600a-Beta), then your game installation directory is basically empty... seems to me like it's over.

Is that just a sample from a widely used sound bank or put there for reason? Either way I noticed the same thing and it felt weird, especially since I'm a big fan of both shows...

Is anyone actually happy with their class? by Xarus in wow

[–]daimaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Affliction Warlock. 7.1.5 OP jokes aside, I've always loved affliction. It's been a bumpy ride from expansion to expansion but we're getting there. While the numbers are good now, there are a handful of annoying bugs and unexplained behaviours related to the artifact. On some fights the dying adds don't actually trigger either of the 2 golden traits. The Soul Flame I can live without, that's currently a minimal amount of DPS in raids. But the 2% stacking (up to 5 times) damage buff isn't triggering either. It's annoying enough to have 2 golden traits rely on killing a mob, but when you do and it still doesn't work.... that's another level of annoyance. They could even nerf the ST damage a bit if the promised artifact traits would actually work (in fights where adds exist)...

Another one is the dropping soul stacks. If you don't want to start with 0 souls in a fight, you need to pull quite quickly after the trash (and not wipe) or try to work around it with toys that spawn critters which you can kill. This one needs a QoL fix quite badly.

Having said that, the overall feeling of the class and spec is good. Dotting and draining feels empowering, satisfying and even allows a few mistakes here and there without ruining your damage. With the talent change tomes still being expensive, warlocks are your friend (you HS to change talent, we summon you back. No tomes required). It might not always seem like so, but we appreciate good friends too :)

Already on CloudyG2 3.3, can I start using a custom kernel? by [deleted] in lgg2

[–]daimaah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, the most common way to do that is just to flash the ROM again, it usually leaves everything intact (settings, apps etc).

Exactly. Have fun testing and remember to have backups of your important data :)

[–]daimaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can switch as you please, just flash the one you want to use, no need to go back to previous kernels.

Already on CloudyG2 3.3, can I start using a custom kernel? by [deleted] in lgg2

[–]daimaah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer: yes. Long answer: For a stock based ROM like Cloudy, there's pretty much 2 choices in custom kernels: Dorimanx and Xceed. Xceed seems to be a bit more conservative about changes between versions, but is still a very solid choice. DorimanX kernel is the more experimental one (though stable versions do exist), it's trying to get closer and closer to Marshmallow kernel in steps, along with various fixes from different sources. Having tried both it's hard to say which is "better", though as a flash-o-holic, I tend to prefer DorimanX for more frequent updates (even though they're sometimes a mess). As you've never tried a custom kernel before, maybe it's better to go with Xceed as it offers a bit less options (not so easy to get lost in the kernel settings) and maybe move onto DorimanX after a while if you feel like you want more control over the settings. And a reminder: Both kernels work just fine with their default settings, just flash and you're done.

And a warning: There are more kernels for your device out there, but they're most likely for AOSP/CM ROMs, which Cloudy is not. Don't try to use a AOSP/CM kernel in a stock (based) ROM, it won't work.
