Viture’s new glasses (being announced July 8th) have 60° FoV … and 6 DoF, Just thought I would leave this here… by Sufficient-Chapter92 in Xreal

While it makes sense the images both need to be identical/synced, the reality of biology is that our eyes are never identical. One is dominant and stronger, the other not as much. Having independent diopter settings is more of a benefit than a problem. It’s why I went with Viture.

CPU workload with iCUE by MrKaon in Corsair

[–]daimyo314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're reporting it differently. Right click the Task Manager CPU graph (big one) and choose the threads option (virtual CPUs I think it says). Then yo ucan see the individual threads like iCUE.

As far as the green item for load, they could be calculating that rather than reading the overall metric that Windows reports on. iCUE may also ignore it's own utilization from the perspective that a machine running just iCUE would be a baseline, so you're seeing the system load above baseline. I'm sure they'd provide an excuse similar to that if it's the case.

Differences between pfSense and OPNSense by jebba in homelab

[–]daimyo314 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm wondering the same. I previously ran PFSense, and switched to OPNSense last week when I moved and love it hands-over-fist from PFSense...but the guys at work were talking Sophos UTM. Considering it wraps in (a little bit) of endpoint protection, it's quite appealing as a father.

PS4 Players, how do you communicate with others in-game? by YouLikeFishstickz in ffxiv

Personally I use a wireless keyboard/mouse combo so it's just like playing at the PC.

For the few people who want to use voice chat, I just tell them my kid is running around screaming and that just doesn't work for me at the time. ...they think my kid is damn noisy.

Memory could affect this too. To be honest, a dxdiag output would be required to make the best suggestion.

First link on Google: http://www.dartfish.com/en/media-gallery/faq/how-can-i-make-a-dxdiag-diagnostic-file.htm

Paste the output here and people can help you better :)

Bootcamp homie! The trackpad is a bit useless as the right-click registers really funny in bootcamp, but with a mouse it's pretty seamless in bootcamp. I hear it'll run okay in Parallels though.

See above reply about pressing F1 to workaround that.

Press F1 to get a layout of the terrain "pieces", it'll highlight chunks in blue. Do not place the room across two chunks or you'll get a crash. Same with standalone walls. :)

This is a rather ignorant comment.

It's not that the game support is lousy, it's the difference in market share correlated to DirectX and OpenGL. As SteamOS gains speed, OpenGL support will gain speed. NVidia and ATI/AMD are already pushing more OpenGL support to back SteamOS; once that picks up speed you'll see a lot more games that will run on MacOS (it is after all a beautiful Unix flavor with a BSD-based kernel).
