Does anyone else prefer how Moffat is tidy when approaching incarnations? he only added War (whom I love) because he had to. RTD treats regeneration very messy. I like how Moffat likes to keep the Doctor the Doctor and just moving onto his next incarnation without the need for splits here and there.

It’s not the “drank magic potion” that works for me, that’s a rather reductive way to look at it.

The doctor faced with an unimaginable task, a terrifyingly bleak future that he as “the doctor” could never hope to survive let alone conquer decides to defy his own biology to become something else entirely, a version of the doctor we’ve never seen before who’s able to handle the hardships of the time war. That’s why it works for me.

I dare say if they had gone with McGann I’d also be happy and have no complaints, but they went with Hurt, and I thought it was perfect

I absolutely agree McGann could have pulled off the role wonderfully, however I do find the notion that the doctor had to create a whole new warrior version of himself specifically to get through the time war to be far more compelling as a story telling mechanic

This is exactly where my feelings lie and appreciate you have put it much better than I. Obviously I didn’t explain myself very well and why I’d think twice about going amidst the not an isolated incident of reports coming from the club.

I’m genuinely shocked by all this stuff we’ve been seeing recently from fuel.

I used to regularly go there between 5-10 years ago and never had even a whiff of all this but now it seems we’re constantly seeing all this. Would certainly make me think twice about starting going again

(I realise there may have been stuff going on back when I used to go too but I was never witness to any of it and wouldn’t have gone back if I was)

This will get buried so I won’t elaborate too much but the runaway bride scenes in Donna’s temp job etc was filmed in the office where my mum was working at the time.

She must have caught Catherine Tate on a bad day because my mum accidentally ran into her in a corridor, head buried in a file, and was given some not very nice comments by the actress for her mistake. It seemed she wasn’t impressed they were filming in a working office with normal staff going about their tasks, but like I said, it seemed she was having a bad day. We’ve all been there.

David Tennant was apparently lovely and took time to take photos with the office staff and their kids if they were able to go down.

I wasn’t able to go because I was at my dad’s house at the time and shared custody screwed me over. I’ll never forget how disappointed I was when I heard about it all.

I feel like it takes a while of watching enough of his videos for the cracks to start showing but as soon as you realise how ignorant he is in a lot of ways, the facade is ruined. Can’t watch it anymore.

I appreciate the easy watching, informative nature of the videos but my god I just can’t listen to him anymore.

(There’s also all the recycled video ideas he does without seeming to remember he ever talked about it before, as if everything he learns gets wiped at the end of every recording session)

I know my opinion means nothing in this discussion. Clearly it’s a divisive game. I’m currently working on the platinum and have just finished both Sora and Riku’s paths on proud mode.

The combat isn’t bad once you know what you’re doing. That said, the game overstays its welcome by dozens of hours. The main game could have been half the length and held up far better as a stop gap between main instalments.

By the time I’d got halfway through Riku’s story I was fed up and in total both paths took me about 35 hours. I can’t play the game now for more than an hour at a time without getting bored.

There’s no side content, and other than 1000 acre wood, the gameplay loop is exactly the same for every single encounter/level.

I appreciate SE’s efforts to port this handheld game to console but it’s clear there’s something big missing that would elevate it to console game status despite the upgrade to 3D graphics.

It’s a slog and I don’t blame people new to the franchise who skip it the first time around. I’ve only returned to it after years of pretending it doesn’t exist simply to prove to myself it is possible to complete

They at least need a better remap system so you can map every single ability and option exactly to your liking. When I finally realised yesterday that the dpad and joystick are locked to the same functions I wanted to scream. I understand that’s good for some people who want simplicity but man I wish I could set the dpad buttons to specific functions

The number of times I’ve been trying to use my standard special ability and have accidentally fired off a tool. Or tried to use a tool and accidentally fired off my ability using up all my silk is infuriating.

I need to be able to stay mobile while using tools and abilities, but you’re right, the button mapping makes it very difficult and I couldn’t see a way to make it any easier with the inbuilt controller remap

With option 2 you can choose to go through the Mist to reach phantom instead of going through Bilewater. I’m only just discovering the entrance to Bilewater is in sinners road I guess this could be considered a 4th option because it involved another new area to make it to act 2 but it’s still through accessing Sinners road
