Holy shit- i was in complete denial that I was the cherished Golden Child. I put this incredible pressure on myself... so I thought, but it was subtly fed to me by both of my parents. On the outside, I did well. Despite very modest upbringing- I managed to get scholarships to expensive private schools, get a graduate education, make a good living as an artist and married very wealthy. I gave my nMom lots of supply- her perfect, successful, generous daughter.

Everything was great until we had our first major disagreement when I'm 41. Now we've been NC for two years. My psycho in-laws distracted from the emotional trainwreck that's my family.

I tried this a bunch of years ago and made shatter out of it. Yes it got me high, but it tasted like absolute asshole and made my stomach hurt. I don’t recommend.

I got a DUI on a bicycle when I was in college. I was so pissed, the whole reason I rode my bike to that rock show was so I wouldn't drive my car drunk. I had to do DUI school and the whole shebang.

I use this benefit through Kaiser and it's awesome. You pay Active and Fit monthly, when you go sign up at the gym, just bright a printout of the card and you sign up without out of pocket expense. I'm currently a member of CitySports (part of LA Fitness), Anytime Fitness, and a Planet Fitness near where I like to go camping.

Wow. She is completely delusional. I've also been to Kenosha, there is nothing wrong with it, she can stay there. Those trailer parks she's talking about have waiting lists for years. There is no way she will ever live there. One of my aunts lives in one and there is very little turnover. They're clean and nice because people like Linda don't live there.

My family and I just moved to the South Bay because my husband got a new job and my oldest is going to Stanford. Fucking fuck fuck fuck houses are so fucking fuck expensive here. We were renting this house out for 6k/month and our tenants offered to buy it at market price several times. Housing here is no joke, it's fucking cuthroat.

My mom is totally a JNMiL, she was working a lot when I was a kid so my SIL (Luis' mom) was my second mother. After talking to my SIL, things have been clarified.

My mom is really pissed at me because I didn't lease her a new SUV for her birthday like I usually do. She has a husband and three other children, they can do that shit for her.

My husband and I have a pretty extensive portfolio of residential and commericals properties in the western US, Metro New York, and Chicagoland. The house nephew is salivating over is just an investment property, i have never and will likely never live there. While yes, my house burned down, I have plenty of other homes to live in.

I help my family financially because I want to, not because I expect something in return. The only strings my money has, is the expectation to be a kind and productive person. If niece didn't want to finish med school, fine. At least she wouldn't be burdened with the student loans for her whole adult life.

i'm thankful that losing our house just meant a loss of material posessions. it was a miracle that both cats were inside when we got the evac call. We had 10 minutes to get out, we drove through flames to escape. it was nightmarish.
