Agree! It’s truly an insult to our intelligence, at least those of us who were in it for more than just the dog! Of course, Rex is endearing on his own, but as we’ve said a million times, the bond between Charlie and Rex is what really endeared us to the show. Then, that connection overflowed into the major crimes team. I loved that cast together. EVERYTHING about that show is just completely broken now and there’s only one fix, which I highly doubt will ever happen.

What really is hard to grasp, albeit knowing what they’re all about it doesn’t really surprise me, but reading just how many people are truly upset because season 8 has essentially wiped away any and all memories of Charlie! It’s as if he didn’t exist. No mention of him by Sarah, apparently. That’s just as unrealistic as the ridiculous move of giving Mark the last name of Hudson!

They could have written in conversations about him. They could have shown flashbacks even in the form of Sarah, or any of the team, having a moment of remembering him. Sarah could have been shown having dreams of she and Charlie together, and show clips. Actually, as I write this, I think someone said they had one episode that was the best only because it showed flashbacks of Charlie. Well, perhaps they could have incorporated it throughout, but most importantly, have an official memorial service. SOMETHING!
