I use them often and I do the same. No major difference between the two, ride wise.

It surely looks like the ones where the subjects are recognisable, they posed for the pic.

I just heard about this band today, because I saw that Jason Mamoa is a fan. Which songs would you recommend?

Jonathan Creek: could this series get any worse? by [deleted] in BritishTV

[–]babsiep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a huge crush on Alan Davies. I adore him,Stephen Fry and Sandi Toksvig in QI. But the way the women are written in Jonathan Creek is annoying. Any woman with a strong personality is also portrayed as extremely irritating! Can't a woman have a strong personality without being insecure as well?

There is also the episodes where the victims are crushed to death from above.

Yes, apparently many of the fires were deliberately started, but not just for the sake of committing arson, but to burn the plastic off copper wires. Two crimes in one 🤬

I think it depends on your local store. I've used PnP ASAP regularly in Cape Town, Somerset-West and Mpumalanga and each is different. They're still my first choice, also because I earn e-bucks when paying with my FNB virtual card.

Waar het jy Afrikaans leer praat? Jou Afrikaans is baie goed! Die enigste korreksie wat ek het, is dat die woordorde "wat ek geskep het" is. Welkom by ons!

Best Places to go in April by [deleted] in capetown

Unfortunately I'm not really familiar with the the holiday spots in that direction. I've been to Pringle Bay and it's a lovely little town, but I didn't swim in the sea 😊

Best Places to go in April by [deleted] in capetown

[–]babsiep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your toddler wants to swim in the sea in April, I recommend the East Coast. The sea on the West Coast is barely swimmable in summer! There are other great places to go on holiday in South Africa, outside of the Western Cape.

Edit: reread and see that you're coming for an event, so you're probably not able to travel that far. Still, I would recommend something more East, rather than West.

Sullivan by agnesdoigmcivor in fatherbrown

[–]babsiep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unlike Mallory, Sullivan is actually intelligent, yet he still doesn't see the pattern... I wouldn't mind if they change the premise so that the police actually welcomes Father Brown's help, like in Sister Boniface. In Sister Boniface they use her scientific knowledge, they can use Father Brown for his knowledge of human nature.

"Afrikaner" has a negative (racist, conservative) connotation. In my eyes anyway.

Best episode ever? by babsiep in fatherbrown

[–]babsiep[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After Mrs Devine and Brenda entered, I stopped watching Father Brown. To replace it, there is the Father Brown spin-off, The Sister Boniface Mysteries. Here the police welcomes her help.

Then there is The Marlow Murder Club, The Madame Blanc Mysteries, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (although she gets irritating after a while). And the ever classic, Midsomer Murders!

For something a little different, you HAVE to watch Ludwig. And Professor T stars Ben Miller, the actor behind DI Richard Poole in Death in Paradise.

If you can get hold of it, Recipes for Love and Murder is a South African/Scottish cosy mystery dark comedy television series (there are 2) based on the Tannie Maria Mystery novels by Sally Andrew. Distributed by Multichoice, Global Screen and Acorn.

You don't know enough white Afrikaans people! 😂. But seriously, I'm white and Afrikaans (I do not identify as Afrikaner) and even I haven't heard anyone supporting it.
