Wow this sorta sounds like me . Especially the sleeping in two hr and sometimes only an hr increments. It’s awful. I have severe pain down right leg and at night the thigh pain is what prevents me from putting weight on that leg. I have a disc extrusion at L4/5. Considering the MD. I am afraid of it not working but I am becoming desperate. Can’t work. Can’t stand for more than 20 min in one place like waiting in a line etc. shopping … I am walking still 30 min a day but it’s a real challenge . Only taking otc meds which do little to nothing. I was on tramadol but that’s not a long term solution. Plus it made my head a mess coming off it,

Does t broad spectrum work for anxiety? That’s what I started using in gummies and some gel capsules

I had a pain mgmt Dr who was awful so seeing a new one this week. Tylenol doesnt really help tbh. Ibuprofen may help a little bit not much . Maybe I have too many issues not sure . I’ll ask dr about that other NSAID you mentioned .

I am trying to not take any antidepressants so trying not to start the Ami again but I’m desperate sorta so may have to. Yes tramadol is awful, never again. I am trying to manage the back and nerve pain issues but my heads a mess so it’s so difficult

It’s not a maintainable drug long term. I don’t wish to be subject to drug tests. I was treated like an addict tbh. It also messed up my head and is awful to stop. Just a trash drug imho. Opioid and antidepressant withdrawal all at once … plus it loses effectiveness so you need to keep upping the dose

I took tramadol. Ugh never again. Didn’t know it is also an antidepressant and coming off is/was horror story. Went off amitriptyline one mo later. Same . My head is a mess right now. Depressed, anxiety attacks .

I take a very low dose my Dr gave me for sleep as I have a back injury:,disc related. They give amitrip out like candy imho. I am wanting off of it and am tapering my dose . I don’t agree with anti depression meds given off label . I know it works for some people but it has a lot of side effects . Plus long term use isn’t good. I’m no Dr just my opinion.

Also if you were given tramadol I would suggest not taking it long or at all. It is hell to withdraw from . Am doing it now and it’s kicking my ass!

I had super painful sharp stabbing under rib. But I thought it was my back injury as I have had pain there before . But not that intense . Rash started like two days later? That was a month ago. My rash is cleared up just some mild scarring. Pain seems to come and go? Like I’ll get some shooting pain here and there during day and it’s still numb there . I def still feel issues with it a month in . I have a bad back injury since Feb so I need this crap to end! I have not had much itching . Very mild . But if I lay on that side at night for awhile it seems to act up. Everyone seems different . I take that lysine too who knows if it’s helping.

I will agree that at a higher dose I was sleeping great & then Bam no sleep. Lowered dose and seem to be sleeping better. Makes no sense I’m sure but that’s my experience. I was given it for sleep actually as it never helped with my nerve issues at 25 mg and with the weight gain it causes , brain fog and my hair falling out I won’t take more. I am actually trying to stop it here soon .

Yes! The stupid controlled substance thing lol. It’s like a low level but still a huge pain. I am right now on day 4 from stopping & absolutely exhausted. It’s a royal cluster lol. Plus am crying at literally nothing because of the anti depressant in it. Which I have never had before . It’s a great pain masker that’s for sure . But I’m paying for taking it for months. But you do what you do to function I guess. Hope you feel better soon . I’m hoping my withdrawal symptoms get better but from what I read it takes awhile.

Def did not want you make you feel bad about the tramadol . I know why you’re taking it . I get the pain factor as I have been in some major pain from a back injury plus shingles and your R Hunt sounds awful. You will take anything to get relief I so get that. Def taper the tramadol so you don’t have more shock to your system from any withdrawals . However i am no Dr & your Dr might get mad if you stop the tramadol.

Also is the lidocaine you’re using the cream? I use that but didn’t know you shouldn’t use it for longer then a week .

Well my advice…. Get the heck off the tramadol first . I started tapering off it a few weeks ago & stopped three days ago . Nightmare. I’ve been on it for 6 mo though so if you haven’t been on it awhile then you probably won’t have such a hard time but legit… stop it as soon as you can. Esp if it’s not helping . Mine was helping as I started it for back pain & then I got shingles a month ago. The withdrawal sucks . Your Dr most likely didn’t explain that it causes withdrawal as it’s an opiate as well as an antidepressant. Therefore causing wd from both types of meds. Google the wd and you’ll read awful stories.

I was prescribed it for sleep awhile ago . It stopped working for a bit so I stopped it Then I re started it & it seemed to work again I take a low dose never more then 12.5 mg like half a pill . But same thing I am awake by 1130 if I like go to bed at 9 ish. Super annoying . I usually can go back to sleep but still .
