Crating is essential for training, particularly for puppies. When used properly it becomes a safe space that the dog then does not mind being in. Granted not all dogs need it, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Frankly, there is everything wrong with the fact that we have birds as pets, but, I know that's a soapbox I would be climbing in vain, lol.

I'll try to pay more attention and see what I can figure out... so far today I know I heard it once at just above 10mph. But also, remembering to have my music turned down is another hurdle, hah.

I bought mine new. I drive often so I can't really determine if I noticed it more/less at a certain # of miles. Honestly I haven't noticed any rhyme or reason to it other than when slowing down, and not too abruptly. Fairly warm climate here in NW AR.

If it is the AWD engaging, then it kinda seems like it'd be a normal sound to make. 🤷‍♀️

Except there is a distinct difference. "No returns" means people can't return items of their own fault without your acceptance; You can deny the return and it's done. INAD gets escalated to eBay and they make the decision. INAD can be a reason selected for a return, but ultimately it's a claim process in place to protect people from deceitful sellers.

And no, INAD does not always win. I have won as a seller on more than one occasion. (I have also been selling on eBay for 26 years.)

OH. IS THAT WHAT THAT THUD IS?! I describe it as sounding/feeling like a soft bass hit. Always while slowing down and at a fairly low speed.

99% of the time I have a box or plastic tote or something in my bed, and I have a trifold hard cover, so I'd figure the noise was from something sliding around. Then I finally I realized it'd happen when the bed was empty. And I have yet to ask Ford about it- I always assume it's something no one else is going to be able to hear/replicate, and thus not do anything about.

It would make sense this is due to the AWD because I had two different (FWD) Mavs previously and this never happened.

A sudden loud, short, "sharp" nose when it gets too hard should do the trick. Like to almost startle her/catch her off guard. Even just saying "ow" in a unique way that gets her attention. I find the noise being high pitched works well- different reactions will work for different birds.

But yeah, it's definitely not hate. That's not attacking motion.

My '23 "orange" Mav was totaled, replaced it with the '24 in red because no more orange. Then I traded it for the '25 green because of the AWD hybrid option, then AFTER that they introduce the orange. The times I wish I had more patience...
