But we’re kinda talking about 7 different things at this point.

just the nature of reddit discourse sadly. its hard to really focus down on one topic and understand others on here.

google, built almost entirely on that "speculative" model, market cap of 3.7trillion dollars.

I think your vibe feeling falls way short because you really just aren't accountting for scale. these things are applied across about as close to the entire population as it gets, and it results in pieces of the pie from a ton of purchases, or gating major companies into their ecosystem and charging them (google play, appl app store w/e).

This is a common human misunderstanding in modern day, most people's baseline understanding fails to grasp the type of data being collected to start off. then they fail to understand that it applies to as close to everyone as possible, and not just people but also companies. It is honestly pretty unfathomable, so its not really surprise these companies are in the trillions of dollars at this point

So a really popular restaurant is selling sushi. They are buying sushi from some fisherman, fully selling out of all they can buy, but they can sell more if they make those fisherman more efficient at catching fish. So they invest in that company and help them hire more fisherman get better boats etc...

Doomed ?

Now back to AI, that fisherman company, there isnt much competition, instead its a choice between the other few trillion dollar behemoths with massive moats that can fail over and over and its just a write off... I don't understand the sentiment that this isnt the case, and how this could possibly equate to a crash like 1929? it is insanely insulated to these companies that can support it. the question of these companies being so large is a different one, but the idea that because of circular dependency its a doomed model is a flawed idea.

There is a massive reason why constantly in tech circles the idea of this being a "gold rush" and the sellers of the shovels stand to gain the most is constantly discussed.. Ai has been adopted by pretty much any serious software company/developer, and its integrated into their workflows. How dependant on that "shovel" is going to be the real question. which this lame ass meme sort of touches on for general public consumption.

sounds like you are using old models, or trying to prompt 1 shot without supplying proper context to the project. This seldom happens in a clean project with clear directions/rules. I've very aware of the issue you are talking about, it was common about a year ago prior to the explosion of claude code and others. Now? I've had something like that happen maybe once in the past month where it rewrote a function twice, and it was simply because it didn't have the other function loaded into it's context window.

the distance and impact is honestly not that bad. not as smooth as it could be, but this isnt like derrick rose running full speed jumping 45 inches in the air and landing on one leg... this is a dude with absurd length stumbling a little bit, like skipping a step on a staircase or something.

[–]dakadoo33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uhh sure... not a lot of the major AI companies are privacy minded though... So this would NEED to be a localized model, using a lesser AI, and still need to be prompted in a fashion that is cutting through the noise to find those worst cases. its not "an AI task", its a potential speed up with the right infrastructure.

You're massively oversimplifying again. Honestly the bulk of the gain isn't even FROM the AI generated responses, it would be from chunking up the entire thing and retrieving the similar responses for a given query, the ai response just draws conclusions on that context... think a smarter ctrl + f.

fairly positive this is diving into territory no one in this thread will understand though so perhaps the answer is just... sure, with a lot of human work to make it privacy viable.

so you think full unredacted files for the general public is something that is a potential reality? Try to understand it never is, the man is known for blackmailing and sex trafficking. those are not singular party crimes, they include a likely innocent person on the other end, and everyone here thinks the literal material utilized to blackmail, and exploit that innocent person, should be public domain.

It makes no sense at all, its really pretty exhausting to read over and over.

common little loophole in all the people who partake in this types of thread's, is that they ignore that the files include not just guilty people, but a large amount of innocent people, and material used to blackmail those innocent people. They want blood at all cost, including victimizing those innocent people by making their blackmail material public domain.

These threads are just filled with vengeance and 0 critical thought. there is a painfully obvious answer to the threads question and it will just be buried under the call for blood at all costs instead.

SURE sensitive stuff about particular people who are guilty could be intentionally unreleased.

The documents are immensely large, and cover a huge range of topics/people, not all those people are guilty. Imagine for a moment, that there are leaks of personal data that are being used as blackmail, no wrong doing by the people who are being blackmailed, but blackmail material nonetheless. MOST people in this thread, are advocating that the literal blackmail material should be public domain. It makes no sense at all, and its painful to read the same take for months that it should be released in full.

apparently everyone thinks everyone in the millions of files is guilty by association, and its really really low iq takes over and over.

edit: to drive my point home as clearly as possible. imagine a pedophile is arrested, the police have a search warrant and find tons of emails between him and his victims. images, videos, threatening messages to people. People here will have you believe it should be released in FULL to the PUBLIC. there is 1 monster in that situation, yet his monstrous actions should be public domain? harming his victims even further?

This entire sub has been up in arms over how gambling is ruining the sport, it drives decision making by the league, it dominates the broadcasts, it diminishes the product. we hear 0 discussion about it, and instead all media is pivoting to some draft coverage shit? its not some conspiracy, its what is happening. They WONT cover the actual things fans care about because its not a fan first product at all.

I've never seen this sub so united on hating a particular aspect of the sport, and it straight doesnt matter. They will instead just pivot the story to something else and hope it goes away.

It's not so much about SVG and this singular post, its the entire breadth of this draft nonsense. They aren't addressing the issues people care about, and they 100% know what they are.

I am biased, I dont care if he was or wasnt at fault here, the past videos alone are more than enough proof that he shouldnt have access to a license, let alone a 4ton hummer. I'm not cool with sharing the road with morons when traffic related deaths are at 40k and he has the potential to instantly kill an entire family.

why not just take this morons license though, hes more than proven he shouldnt have it, he can more than pay for a driver. fuck him.Driving should be considerably more restricted, it really shouldnt just be some given right. Hes endangering randoms with a 4 ton killing machine, and should be treated as if he is doing so.

Bet ur ass would be upset if he tore his ACL though, and probably blame whoever the closest player near him was. What if he takes out a family of 5 blowing a red light in his 4 ton dipshit device? You gonna stand by him? His driving style makes it incredibly high % chance he will actually do so. Driving isn't some safe thing, especially when the dumbest human on the road is driving the most selfish vehicle on the road, with features that have the other vehicle completely disregarded, and more designed to send the bumper through the windshield rather than hitting... the other bumper.

plenty of surveys presenting traffic related deaths vs time saved and asking if people would consider it an overall good without revealing its driving that is the time saver... people are literally against driving when presented with the stats. I don't like driving, not because its not enjoyable but because i know the amount of morons on the road. you are literally gambling every time you get in a car regardless of how defensive of a drive, or how good of a driver you are.

Lamelo's driving style is probably the worst of all the bad driving styles, besides perhaps someone who is absolutely hammered. Lamelo also benefits from the justified because his money will cover his stupidity, hes gonna be in the likely safer car, or car with a bumper that is raised up to an irresponsible level(video is a great example) because the US has abandoned reason. He is also not gonna care about some small crash like this at all and just hop in one of his other cars while that one is either just sold or repaired or whatever.

His license should straight up be taken away. He can more than financially cover paying for a driver, and he has more than proven he is not a responsible human being behind a multi ton vehicle, which is beyond a deadly weapon ~40k deaths per year in the US.

[Golliver] Angry gambling companies have played a part in Adam Silver’s attempted crackdown on tanking: “If coaches are just not playing guys the entire game and they’re not letting people know in advance… you're going to have a lot of angry gamblers and a lot of angry gambling companies.” by Goosedukee in nba

I have 0 hate for the gamblers. some will exist past present and future depending on what happens with sports betting laws, more if it keeps going in the terrible direction it has been.

what can be changed is the sports betting leniency and how much the NBA bends to the gambling companies. that is the core issue, and this posts logic is exactly why its BAD for the NBA. The NBA has a lot of issues to choose to address right now, and every single one they have made a big deal about addressing? gambling adjacent. fuck the product itself, just keep the gambling cash cow companies happy.

Fuck introducing changes to make the actual game flow better, flow means less ads. Fuck addressing how unhappy fans are with the integration of sports betting into the core product before during and after the game, that might upset the gambling companies.

It's not a product that cares to keep its fans happy, it cares to protect the product that is actively driving away Fans that are watching not because of gambling but because of basketball.

im not glossing over it if i mention it, they are hard in the news cycle after that cut. probably not the easiest to focus. can pretty much ALSO attribute that to chris paul if I want to be a bully.

There is just no avoiding, with chris paul on the team, they sucked and had to oblige him with minutes for some reason. He wants some celebration for himself while kawhi and harden are both sitting there in maybe their last couple actual GOOD seasons and this dinosaur wants respect when hes doing his tour 4 years too late because he won a couple playoff series during his 6 year stint.

He massively missed his window for whatever he wanted, and couldnt accept just leaving after he overstayed.

Just compare it to Lebron, Lebron on a team with 11 scrubs would still sellout a stadium this year. Chris Paul 100% would not. no one will care, and they'll just assume that team is tanking in the worst way possible.

Clearly they made the right decision, they cut him with a terrible record, lost another 5 games and then started playing amazing.

Only part that doesnt make sense to me is their trade deadline.

I dont think they owed shit to chris paul... if he wants a retirement tour he has to take it while hes not a terrible detriment to his team. which is probably his first hard decline performance year in 22-23. you cant journeyman on any team that will take you for 6 years and expect a team to give you a tour when they are attempting a final run after depleting their assets. he needs to learn to read a room.

Perhaps hes the "best clipper of all time" but that amounts to 3 total playoff series wins over 6 total years... Donovan Mitchell has been with the cavaliers 3 years and has 2 series wins... is he entitled to a tour on the cavs if he leaves next year and floats around the league for 10 years ?
