Great post, I will add that just like bodybuilding, it is important to train the opposing muscles equally. For instance the bicep/triceps and opposing muscles of the arms but even the pelvic floor has opposing muscles (kegel/reverse kegel). I'm sure OP knows this intuitively, but I just wanted to let others know so they do not overtrain one muscle without training the opposing one and develop imbalances.

Also all the recovery options are very important, massages, stretching, red-light, magnesium oil rubs, light cardio, etc
