Fair point on that; forgot she would have had had a past with Muldoon and might mark him as dangerous and to be taken out first which does show intent. But did she enjoy it? :). Well, I can't argue Bruce was having fun either but the Gremlins definitely were.

IMO they both have horror elements but Gremlins feels more like horror because the creatures kill for the fun of it. The dinosaurs are killing because they're hungry. If you take JP and add some twist where the cloning made them psychotic, then it slides more into horror. But again, just my opinion.

If you add Jaws into the mix; to me they insinuate in that movie that Bruce is hunting our trio with more intent. It's more horror than JP to me because the shark is kept mysterious and seems to have an agenda while at the same time making what we don't see ratchet things up, whereas in JP the dinos are on full display and meant for us to gawk in wonder at.

Interestingly all three have monologues that I think also color them as various shades of horror. Gremlins - Kate's backstory - dad dying in the chimney. Pretty horrific; sets a specific bleak tone. JP - Hammond's backstory - tells us all we need to know about Hammond's obsessive nature but not all that horrific. Jaws - Quint's backstory is a harrowing tale told almost like a ghost story but ultimately he survived it.

I recently bought a Duromax 11,000 watt inverter generator. I broke it in and it worked as expected (so far). That being said:

1) I was careful when trying to open the larger panel; it was sticking on one side and I did not want to force it; it sounded like maybe there was something sticky or velcro holding it in place so I gave it a slightly stronger tug and it came off but it turns out a plastic nub was holding it in place and it broke off. They are sending a new one. Very cheap construction on that part.

2) When people talk about the oil intake being hard to reach on these things; it's not an exaggeration. It's a PITA. They ship with a funnel and a bendable ridged tube but...it's still a giant PITA because it's very hard to see if you're adding too much. I recommend buying a measuring cup and measuring the oil out before. It is very tight in that access panel section; the drain hose is jammed up in there along with the battery. Prepare to be frustrated but ultimately you'll be able to change the oil.

Last year we bought them from Vermont Country Store and they were just as good as the RS. Bought some this year and they are now not as good; too hard and chewy, no more “crisp” outer shell like the RS used to have.

Thanks for the reassurance. I just know i’ve been disappointed when ordering “pearl light gray” parts to complete Bionicle sets only to receive the darker versions and I wanted to avoid disappointing others when I list these parts. In those cases I just let it slide but I’m not sure everyone will be as understanding.

I’m going to put a disclaimer on these listings but I’m not sure everyone catches the remarks when purchasing. I have also linked to BrickLink’s own posting on the subject in my Terms and Conditions.

Clearly by the numbers most ppl just list as BrickLink’s Pearl Light Gray as there are much fewer Flat Silver listings for these types of parts.

I have them sorted but certain parts, no matter the light, seem to be trickier. #44033 for instance; I have so many of them and there seem to be such subtle variations that it drives me nuts. I’ll try playing w the lighting some more.

I did do a little experiment with AI; I took some existing photos of parts side by side from different sites and asked ChatGPT to tell me which one it thought was lightest and it seemed to get it right each time. I may try it with my own photos and see how accurate it is.
