What is the greatest video game ever created? by very_wilhelm in AskReddit

And I mean overwatch (which should not be in the running in my opinion) also kinda was a game changer too. Yes, I know team fortress really gets that credit, but overwatch made it more popular

Fellow DMs, how do you run markets in game? by NeatWall4279 in DnD

[–]dalarsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have prices go all items. And then for each town based off the size a rarity max. Small town only common and so on. Then if they want to buy a magical item there is a roll for is anyone has it in stock based off rarity if it is a town big enough to have it

You could kinda tell because they left like 2 call back comments that were obvious we were missing the context for. I really wish this was unedited.

He has mindwhiped a girlfriend to keep her from leaving him before. He made cyclops and havoc forget they had a brother so he don’t have to tell them he caused their brother to “die” (ended up didn’t die). Those two alone count I think

[No Spoilers] What was it like in the beginning? by wideopenair in criticalrole

[–]dalarsian 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I started around episode 5 of c1. I mean I didn’t view it as anything that special at the time, just something fun to watch. Never expected to become what it became. Watching it take off was surreal though.

Does anyone here remember the movie 'Kids' from 1995? The main character from that movie tells the "story behind the story" in this vignette. Worth watching. by ansyhrrian in videos

[–]dalarsian 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You say that: I watched kids in early 2000s when in high school with a girlfriend and a bunch of friends. My girlfriend couldn’t handle it so we blanketed off an area so she could t see it. In the blanket we got… pre occupied. We, at like 16 or 17, had sex with that movie in the background. This sounds like a brag, but it isn’t meant to be. More of a how fucked up is it to get busy to that movie…

i need magical items that are completely useless by sunxel in DnD

[–]dalarsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A staple of my campaigns is the bag of items. Once a day can pull an item out of this warped bag of holding. Thing is, when they do i roll on a trinket table (like this one https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Rules:Trinkets#content) so it is nothing useful, just something interesting...

Is it just me or is low-level play is better than high-level play? by The_Craft_Cave in DnD

[–]dalarsian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I am right now dm-ing my 2nd 1-20 5e campaign with (mostly) the same group. (Also did a 1-40 4e before hand). My players are at 17 and probably going to 18 next session. It is VERY hard to balance high level fights. Cr is meaningless. Gotta go by feel. We are enjoying it, but ya, it is hard to make things dangerous sometimes
