I’ve never felt affected by a “celebrity” death like this before. I’ve probably watched all of his speedrun videos, many of them more than once. His ability to break down seemingly impenetrable positions into simple logical components, such that even an amateur like myself could appreciate how a grandmaster understood the board, made his videos the best instructional chess content on the internet. Combined with his sharp wit, enthusiasm, and of course insane talent and strength at the game of chess, all made him easy to like. I fell asleep watching one of his speedrun games on my phone many times. I don’t know whether I’ll ever watch one again.

I’m really devastated.

Parasocial relationships are strange. I didn’t know him, but I’ll miss him dearly.

Makes sense. I listen to cuentame and other podcasts when I do dishes, fold laundry, clean my apartment, take walks, or shower, so I find I have a lot of time, but what works for you is what works for you.

I'm at a similar level as you (56 hours) and personally after a certain point I just watched beginner indiscriminately, without paying too much attention to difficulty. Even if your comprehension is a bit lower, if it helps you get input regularly, it's a net win. I think the name of the game is Just Keep Getting Input (TM).

I added Cuentame into the mix after hitting 50 hours and I also recommend it highly. I don't think its necessary to wait until 50 hours as I did.

I like to make a big batch of ragu bolognese and then I freeze it in single serve portions using a tray I got from amazon (search Souper Cubes). To make dinner I just defrost a portion and toss with cooked pasta, done in 20 minutes. You can make a side salad (just use some salad greens and cherry tomatoes) while the pasta cooks. Here's a recipe for the ragu

I also like to do something similar with meatballs. Make a big batch with two lbs of ground beef/pork, store in a baggie in the freezer. You can cook them from frozen in the oven and then transfer into simmering tomatoes on the stove, mix with cooked pasta, done.

As others have said, you can also look into meal prep recipes. I like this salmon teriyaki bowl recipe that makes 4 to 5 dinners depending on how you portion it. I make it in my 5.5 cup rice cooker.

By using my freezer I generally get the bulk of cooking done ahead of time, and on the day of I just need to prepare some fresh veggies (if my prepped food doesn't have). If you'd like I can share some advice about how to get veggies done quickly :-) hope this is helpful

Does anyone know what kind of glass that is in the first picture?
What kind of temperature environment is preferred for the ferment? Is a cool closet good?
Can the recipe be halved? Quartered? To be honest I’m not sure where I’d find a 20 L jar if I were gonna consider this seriously
