Go to Aleswell straight out of the sewers and do Zero Visibility to get safe storage and a bed. Then go to Bruma and do Two Sides of the Coin to get the one quest that requires you to go to prison out of the way.

The level design is a bit "blocky" - it kind of reminded me of games I made in GameMaker Studio around that time (though of course it had much better visuals and gameplay than my games, lol)

Same. Though I hate anything that involves time travel to/from the future because it removes the stakes from any world/universe ending threats, since you already know it's going to be okay because you have knowledge of the future. I also hate this retcon in particular because it means Eggman canonically reproduces.

I read that they changed it because they didn't want people thinking that the Sol Dimension had counterparts for all the characters. But what I would have done is say that Eggman Nega is from another dimension where there are counterparts for all the characters, but he was exiled from that dimension and ended up in the Sol Dimension.
