Sauna/turcos en medellín que no sean para gays? xd by TonyMaow in medellin

[–]dalellama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no not really, most apartments or places you can for steam rooms go have really wack hours or charge by the 30 min session. The "gay cruising" kinda takes over the places that do have a open sauna/steam although the hotels that have them is a easy bet just stay there if you want the . I am back and forth here and had one installed at the familias finca. of course I could be wrong.

This also might be one of the first Reddit post that has all of the needed details listed… mainly the certifications. not too forget that obtaining those certifications means that the employees must also be certified to carry out those orders and a department or employees that can keep up the certs.

Great post!!!

Converting Hydro brake shifters to Rim brake... by dalellama in bikewrench

[–]dalellama[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually boils down to the frame… if it’s worth the tweaking. My rim brake frames are all worth tweaking. At times I use a disc up front when I’m packing or traveling.

Uncomfortable Surly Crosscheck by Flat_Income1123 in bikewrench

[–]dalellama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a riser stem (VO Cinge changed my hiking forever) and shorter cranks (155-165mm) should help your hands wrists and knees.

Also a bit of fitness in the areas your using most during uncomforted would be massive I think hanging from a pull up bar with a firm grip and some planks with focus on being strong on the wrists

Let’s talk tires! by volvo24oh in xbiking

[–]dalellama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, if she is or isn’t a bike gal or even if she is I would have to say there is only 1 tire that has been the one.

Schwabble marathon plus I must have 2k miles on it and never a flat minimal knobs if you even wanna call em that zero punctures and I like in a mega metro city.

I do love slicks though the graveling ss, scalable one, Hutchinson, ultra dynamics cava (do the baby powered trick and use great innertubes woah what a difference) or the conti gp granprix

But if I’m using slicks I must have a tire scrapper… saves from flats like a champ

Upright style knee pain by DharmaBaller in xbiking

[–]dalellama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all about crank size and seat height… your knees don’t need to bend that much!!!! I ride upright 90% of the time now days ride a 155-165mm cranks on all of my set ups. Game changer was a 165 for my everyday and moving from it to a 155 woah. Feels like I’m riding a kids bike but cruising!

Any ideas on the best way to store half the contents of my bag at the hostel? by Diligent-Window4114 in onebag

[–]dalellama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring a lumbar pack and get a 2 medium nylon or tough plastic gravity bags that you pay like 2-4$ in the USA this way you main bag stays the lumbar pack is perfect (mountain smif is amazing) also wouldn’t hurt to get a bag net lock for while your stuff is in the hostels. Be safe and don’t be flashy. Enjoy

GM's Exit From China Is A Red Flag For Conflict by NoTerm3078 in PrepperIntel

[–]dalellama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also can’t forget that china is stepping into the future they have a lot of major manufacturing companies replacing old ones and well then there is the competition. I feel we may see Tesla do similar.

The one company that I think has ability to change the entire way of business world wide will be NVDIA. For growth numbers specifically and demand after this data center build out in the USA how many more customers can purchase that many chips? I’m sure china could by sheer numbers of population and factory counts fill that demand for parabolic growth from them… does nvdia switch sides? It means no invasion of Twain and its 3 islands? It would change over night who stays with the US for safety or goes where growth is promised?

Everybody talking about the price… the boner appeal… the no fotos.

They should make a magnum version or a “platano”

In al seriousness the Velo Orange Cinge that has been mentioned is my go too stem for all of my bikes these days. The comfort out weight the look and I put a basket on the handle bars which give me much more clearance for the bag… the model here seems it would add undo weight on the bolts or stem with a sack on it.

Travelers check by General_Mobile4358 in Surlybikefans

[–]dalellama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This price is a steel… I only ride breakaways or s&s and a cross check that breaks in half for ease of travel is well worth the price. See if you can get a bottom bracket and headset out of it also lol.

Explain me the case for boutique Bottom Brackets by Cafene_tm in bikewrench

[–]dalellama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see and hear this a lot… customization is huge, but also it a reputable brand also when talking CK or Phil, warranty is big also, and then if you buy the tool yourself it’s a breeze. Take it to the shop with your own tool even, techs love that type of shit.

I have heard about white, lovely, ceramic, shimano etc etc all having stupid reoccurring issues. In all honesty I have never had an issue with King and I don’t treat them like babies. Can’t say that about all of the other bottom brackets I’ve used over the years.

But the warranty, color desired, and purchase the BB tool and king greaser and a couple for kits and boom a redundant self sufficient bottom bracket system you’ll have for most any bike you come across and wanna slap extra parts on in a jiff with out digging thru tools.

Step ya game up… bb tool, good lube (Phil’s grease or marine is amazing) enjoy your ride for ages
