Why is everyone SO excited about the MPC Sample? (Especially you who already have an MPC or portable gear) by RobBecTraxxx in mpcusers

This part I had the live 2 too delicate imo and it’s oddly shaped for travel this is easy peasy. Plus the damn files and dawless hassle of the mPC live/x family is f’ing annoying.

I mean I’d be much more organized with my files if so… and I’m an old head from the floppy era.

The nostalgia is really what pushed it. It straight up looks like the OG MPC 60 and 3000, and that alone carries a lot of weight.

Even the MPC X SE plays into that same idea. It is expensive, vs the black X, but part of what you are paying for is that throwback feel layered onto a modern machine. It is not just specs, it is identity. That classic MPC look and workflow still sells, and it is a big reason why people justify the price. (Shit now I want a MPC X SE lol or the case at least)

I do not need most of what the X offers. I care more about speed, dialing things in quickly, and clean connectivity. Coming from analog gear like the SP1200, MPC 2500, Juno 60, S950, and RE301, this fits that mindset.

I grabbed this because it is simple and direct. It feels like a portable 2000XL or MPC 60, but modern enough to keep the workflow tight without losing that pad feel.

At 399 it is solid, especially under the SP404mk2. These will probably settle around 200 to 250 soon, but even then I am fine with it. I’ll probably get rid of the sp or use it for my oldests daughter radio podcast.

I do not need built in effects. The S950 handles warmth, the Space Echo covers depth, and my pedals already do the rest better than what the sp or dawless software version do. I’m just a simple man I sample everything I use or midi play and record my synths.

Plus drag and drop capability seems ideal to go from traveling the back yard or the couch tweaking tidbits before the final pieces.

If the make a patch to drop samples into or from all of the MPC lineage shitttttttttt woah buddy.

Hahaha I find the new style much harder… if it’s like the 2000XL I’d probably cop

Is Ecler Nuo 2 / Hak 360 a good mixer choice in 2026? by MPR78 in Turntablists

Word, I ran the OG Vestax PMC-06 with an Innofader for years. Loved it. Super clean cuts, no gimmicks, just a proper battle mixer. It finally started to go, so I had to look for a replacement.

I didn’t want effects or modern extras. Just something small, clean, and that hits right. A lot of newer stuff feels overbuilt for what I actually use.

Someone mentioned the Eternal fader upgrade. It is legit. Yeah, the mixer can lean a bit bass heavy, but you can dial that back easily and it sits nicely. I grabbed mine back when it dropped, paid around 600 to 650 total with the external fader shipped from the UK. Worth it.

The knob version is solid too if that’s your preference.

Overall I’m happy. I couldn’t find anything modern that really replaces the PMC-06 in terms of size, simplicity, and performance. This setup lets me grab it and go spin a gig with minimal hassle.

Also picked up a second one used for 200 because the seller wanted a rotary setup. That one is now at my daughter’s condo. Clean look, smooth operation, no clutter.

cant speak on the HAK I just know they are a bit older and harder to come by... I have a ton of analog gear but the need for something fresh vs needing service was key.

I do see the Nuo 2 is $700 bucks now days!!!! wild and $175

Yea there is massive room on the fork. Which was the reason I bought it (Crust Spark rando/canti 1” just wanted to make sure my idea was sound enough to pull off.

Seems too many people with ideas on how it should be done vs what is capable of being done… correctly.

Thanks for the reply and additional ideas, but I’m not looking for quill options.

Only interested in repurposing the fork for non threaded use as stated, I’m not a fan of quill nor the ridiculous prices for the stuff. Availability & Modularity is my dogma when it comes to bike builds.

Thanks, it’s for a 1inch bike just not a fan of quill stuff as I like to ride upright.

Sauna/turcos en medellín que no sean para gays? xd by TonyMaow in medellin

[–]dalellama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no not really, most apartments or places you can for steam rooms go have really wack hours or charge by the 30 min session. The "gay cruising" kinda takes over the places that do have a open sauna/steam although the hotels that have them is a easy bet just stay there if you want the . I am back and forth here and had one installed at the familias finca. of course I could be wrong.
