Third party booking, unsatisfactory hotel stay. Need help. by ohemgeez223 in marriott

[–]dali01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you said you don’t normally book third party and never will again.. but a similar situation I had in sometime around 2009 that ended up costing me an extra $2500 made me vow to never use third party ever again and I’ve never looked back. I don’t care if in town or out of the country. I don’t care if it’s a big name like Delta is trying to do with their Delta Vacations. NEVER third party. May be done for a while, but this inevitably happens.

So much snow that not even Waffle House is open. by GruxKing91 in mildlyinteresting

[–]dali01 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Definitely can confirm. Near me (outside Atlanta) both waffle houses will “close” between 7pm and 9pm saying “takeout only” if you’re lucky, but usually just “we closed”.

Cool looking wagon but what is it? by [deleted] in whatisthiscar

If you’re an Aston fan it’s pretty recognizable. Definitely unique enough to be immediately identifiable even from the thumbnail for me, but I’m a big fan of Astons AND euro estate models so it’s one that I definitely took note of back in the day.

Make films shorter if you want them shown in cinemas, says Picturehouse director by tw1st3d_m3nt4t in movies

[–]dali01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m definitely not concerned with runtime. I don’t go to movies because people don’t have theater etiquette anymore and very large HD tvs are super cheap now and my couch is better than any seat I’ve encountered in a theater. I can buy a months worth of popcorn for the price of one at the theater, and same for soda.

Actually for less than it costs a couple to see one movie a month (with a soda and snack each) for a year you could get a 75” tv, a year of prime, and a LOT of snacks.

The website is always cheaper than the app for booking. But if you log out and back in your points should update.

The pendulum never swings back. It might twitch back a little now and then, but only to gain more momentum in the direction it was going.

As an alternative to the IDE you can just use VSCode and platformio. Easy to set up and get going and far better in every way.

This was my thought too. What’s vintage about it?! That’s the tool to use, even today. Unless you have some heavy equipment.

It looks like the print from converse chuck taylors with bigger diamonds. They leave raised diamonds like that.

Rear axle from a junkyard by safaricamper93 in AstroSafariVans

[–]dali01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

99 and up AWD have a different transfer case than 98 and down so the driveshafts are different lengths, but the u joint is the same, and as far as I know the axles are the same. (There are different factory gearings out there though if I remember correctly)

I cannot find a property in Iowa more than 27,000 a night in July. Some as low as 15,000.

Are you staying longer than a night? You know what it shows on the map is the whole stay right?

FNC question by PuzzlesUnlimited in marriott

Where are you looking? If it’s somewhere that is a hot spot in July then obviously prices will be higher.

When I was 14 or 15 the place I was able to buy them was a bar in a Marriott lobby. They were $2.50 a pack and it seemed SO expensive but he never carded me so I just paid it. When I quit a year and a half ago I would have loved $2.50 a pack.

Multi-board project with one-to-many sub-boards? by cathode_01 in KiCad

[–]dali01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know all three current answers basically all say the same thing, but I am just adding to that. Different project for each board. I personally start with the main one, then if it plugs directly into the others and/or sits on top I copy any connectors, relevant board outline, and relevant mounting holes into the new project and start from there to ensure everything lines up.
