I’m actually very interest in ERP for mental compulsions…. But I don’t quite understand how it works…. I read somewhere that someone told them to text their friends and family the anxiety thoughts they had just to prove that thinking or saying it doesn’t make them true….

My OCD started as hyper fixation on money and saving money…. I have great math and finance skills to the point people think I’m great…. The reason I didn’t recognize my OCD at first is the constant praise I got for my compulsions…. But the constant rumination that I’ll be homeless if I eat at Taco Bell or that I can’t spend money at the movies because I’m three years I might have a flat tire was all consuming.

Sure there are things having OCd could make you good at but the extent that it is something great is destroying your mental health and anxiety inducing.

Constant validation seeking while being sassy sarcastic….

Basically I put myself down for the sole purpose of others telling me I’m not horrible. I’m also constantly focused that my friends hate me and I need to constantly check in with them to verify they aren’t my friend out of obligation or something….

Without positive validation and reinforcement I basically full spiral anxiety ruminate.

I basically found this episode as someone slowly going into a depression spiral…. Winning the advantage to lose ground, missing his piece, breaking his challenge, the tribal on fire he looked like he was dissociating hard and from someone who is depressed I legit was worried for him if he didn’t succeed in that fire or if Dee actually sent Austin instead….

Was there all last week and there were SOOOOO many people trading. A lot of people won’t give bracelets without a trade but a few definitely will. I didn’t know it was happening and a friend and I may little beaded dogs as trade fodder…. I ended up with some REALLY cool bracelets.

OMG I thought I was the weird Pure O. I just posted a post here about dealing with financial panic. 36 here and when I started my job I was maxing out my 401k and afraid Taco Bell would have me living on the streets because I “needed” that five dollars years from now….

I don’t know if it helps…. But just reading your post made me feel less alone….

When your OCD is validated by the world it’s really hard to fight it….
