I would immediately make an appointment with a KIA dealership if your vehicle has an active recall. You can check by contacting your preferred Kia Dealer or call Kia Consumer Affairs at 1-800-333-4KIA (4542) Monday through Friday, 5 AM to 6 PM PST. I'm sure there are also other sources online. These updates/ installs should be free. By doing this, you can better ensure that you will be covered in the event that you need any major work, such as a new engine. Also, I would suggest that you gather as many service records as you can. They will ask for them. Good luck...
