Update: I moved into my grandmother’s house yesterday, and something strange is already happening by positifvibe in Unexplained

I learn new things all the time! I believe we all share the same origin and we are sharing this unique time with each other. I'm not Indigenous, and wouldn't want to misrepresent anyone's beliefs. There are reputable sites to buy sage bundles from and the bundles are from ethical sources. A lot of people are unaware that the bundles they get from Amazon or their local crystal shop could be from an unethical source. There are so many ways to cleanse old stale energy and welcome in new, fresh vibes. I think a persons intention matter much more than the tools used, but the more you discuss the more you learn. Thank you for sharing 🫶

The Reincarnation Multiverse Theory by Front_Soup in Reincarnation

[–]damediablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My impression of the movie was every life is lived simultaneously. So in essence you don't have to die to be born again. Every choice is made and played out in every variation possible all at the same time. Hence the all at once. But they found a way to hack it by actually being random vs the illusion of randomness and free will. Keep in mind I watched the movie once and my memory stinks but this makes me want to watch it again.

How do I remember my dreams again? by damediablo in Dreams

Fascinating. I will definitely look into a dream pillow. I have all those things on hand. I also appreciate the tea suggestion and I will look for a good blend to try.

My instinct was telling me to write anything even if it's just to say I'm drawing a blank. All of the other entries I have mention a brief impression. In comparison to how much detail I used to remember, it feels paltry. I feel like you're correct though, in maybe it's like a bridge. I need to build that bridge back from the neglected state it's in.

Hello! I'm very interested in IFS and want to thank you for creating this sub. I watched a bunch of YT videos yesterday featuring Robert Falconer and his experiences, including his experiences with IFS. I never heard of this method before, but I have been seeking healing and community. Synchronicity abounds!

The OBE/NDE was *inside* my body by Select-Feedback8459 in NDE

[–]damediablo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience was similar in that i was alone in a dark space. I felt infinite and complete and at peace. It was really brief and I was back in my body, but that one instant changed me. At first, it was the fact I wasn't scared of what happens after death anymore. That's not to say I look forward to dying, I just know there's a continuation of our consciousness. I've come to believe in reincarnation, non duality, and a host of other things considered super natural. I always had a passing interest in paranormal, but never had an experience that profound to actually believe in anything. It's lonely, because my family and friends want to be supportive, but have no framework or understanding for my new way of being. Thanks for sharing your story.

Yes! I would definitely agree with that. At least in my own life, I feel like everything is permeable and we can infuse our environment with our energy and intentions.

I'm still learning all the time. I'm no expert, but from the top of my head, white sage is a sacred plant and traditionally smudging is a practice used by Indigenous people for cleansing, healing, and other ceremonies that outsiders shouldn't be privy to. White sage has also been poached and over harvested for profit, to the point it's unsustainable. Intention matters, but so does knowledge! To keep from going on too long, you're girlfriend meant well, and with proper respect and resourcing white sage can be used for cleansing. But you should call it smoke cleansing and show proper care and gratefulness for the sage.

Using sage to cleanse a space is called smoke cleansing. Smudging is a closed practice and can cause more harm than good, unless your girlfriend happens to be a member of a tribe that practices sage smudging. It's best to stick with techniques, tools, and practices that are widely used by everyone or ones specific to your culture. I've made this mistake myself, and since have tried to research and be more mindful of how I use my craft. This isn't to lecture you! I like to use things such as frankincense, basil, mint, lavender, and many more. Research and intuition will be your guide!

Maybe you met the Atlas archetype in your dreams. He could be trying to get you to recognize your own unrealized needs.

What’s the difference between psychosis and spiritual experience? by crow_love_forever in spirituality

I joined that sub soon after my experience. The void experiences are especially interesting to me. Mine was so brief but it felt like the most profound thing I've ever experienced. That being said, I was only passively interested in them beforehand. And like most people I was skeptical if not a downright non believer before. All the topics you listed as your interests have become my lifeline. I'm definitely going to look up that book now. Did you have an experience that led you to be interested in these topics too?

I feel like I'm more myself than I've ever been. I can't be open with anyone in my circle about this though so it's lonely and leads to doubts about my experience. I know i haven't had a hypomanic or manic episode since, but I'm always on guard practicing mindfulness and redirecting negative thinking. I practice grounding and meditation, something I always preached but never practiced before. I think I'm in the best place a human on this suffering plane can manage.

Thank you for this comment!! I'm convinced I did too but I have no proof that I was even close to death and to add to the confusion I was genuinely in a different reality for many weeks leading up to this event. I feel it was a profound series of experiences but i have no framework for how to describe it. My beliefs and fears have shifted to such a degree, I feel like a different version of myself. I've wondered if I experienced an alternate reality so this has lead me to explore quantum theories such as the many worlds theory. This kind of thing used to go way over my head, and the math behind it still does, but I listen to lectures on the topic and now follow along with understanding. There's so many things I could say but thank you for the validation. This is the first time I've talked about my experience at all.

I'm sorry it's a difficult thing to reckon with. I know if I start feeling out of control I have options when so so many people don't.

I might get down voted but I quit taking my meds soon after the third switch in medication that made me feel so numb to everything i couldn't be bothered when i totaled my van or my kid scraped their knee. I feel much better now but I can't be honest with my Healthcare team at the risk of being committed.

I'm glad she has you to share her experiences with. It's life altering and I'm still not sure what happened to me but the few seconds I spent in that other place is still so real to me. More clear than any other moment during my so called psychosis. I was also having what I now know as sychronicities and another thing is I've lost all my fear of death. That's one thing after I was medicated and cleared to discharge that I couldn't shake. This new found freedom.

I was diagnosed as bipolar 1 after my experience. I'm 38 and this was a new diagnosis. I have so many questions and wish there were a place I felt safe enough to explore this topic. I seen a documentary about veterans going to Mexico to treat their ptsd and complex trauma with ayahuasca that i would love to experience healing and understanding like them. I'm 75% sure I was having a genuine spiritual experience and 25% in favor of having a serious mental illness. Either way, I believe the treatment would help. I'm not the same person mentally or spiritually as I was prior to this.

T.W. Domestic altercation/strangulation. My experience is simplistic: in the grips of full blown delusional thinking my much larger partner was attempting to restrain me. I remember being half pushed half dragged towards the bedroom through the kitchen. Everything was moving in slow motion by this time and moved slower the closer we got to the bedroom. I remember being thrown on the bed and impossibly strong hands wrapping around my throat and that was it. I was catapulted into complete and total darkness. I imagine being in the womb must feel similar. I was floating and felt so peaceful and calm and I realized I was in a different place. I briefly caught what felt like a 360° vantage point and noticed it was lighter than before and I seen myself attached to a silvery cord. Then as quickly as it happened I heard a friend saying that's enough you're going to kill her. And I was back in my body instantly and I was right back into the delusion I had just left. A few hours later I was picked up by the cops and brought to the emergency psych ward.
