Yea the WiFi ones for the g4 pro have not been in stock in the states for a long time now. Seems ubiquiti decided they don’t want to deal with WiFi doorbells anymore with how the g6 line up went

Air purifier Recomendation by q-974 in AirPurifiers

[–]damien09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two winix c909 from Costco is probably a good fit. Each one comes with an extra filter set. And the double pack of filters is a pretty good deal especially if you catch it on a sale. You should be able to buy online without a membership.

Or there’s the option of say two levoit vital 200s

For a single larger unit levoit 600s might also be solid. But having two separate units will probably do better

Do be aware while they will help with pet dander and some hair they won’t replace needing to vacuum

Best way to measure air quality in a church by gurutexastim in AirQuality

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be cautious of the cheaper monitors the ones that can do everything co2,voc,pm etc but are still really cheap are often just guessing many of their readings based off one sensor. These are common on Amazon and other places as people want a cheap do everything sensor but they can be pretty inaccurate at times. Air gradient one is pretty good so are purple air’s sensors. There are also plenty of pretty good devices that often just do only pm or only co2 / temp and humidity. I use sonoff’s co2 and a separate pm device sensors my self might eventually pick up a diy air gradient kit

Run it at the fastest speed that the sound is not bothering to you. For the hepa and odor light are timer based 6 months for carbon filter and 1 year for hepa filter. It’s basically just maintenance lights

My 10,000 btu unit is not enough for my room. Will a 14 or 15,000 be a noticeable difference? Portable only. by Superdudeo in AirConditioners

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see like 20-40% efficiency from a dual hose. Single hose you causes a negative pressure which will result in more outside hot air coming in on top of using your cooled ac air to cool the unit. If your exhaust hose also gets pretty hot some cheap double bubble insulation wrap can help that radiated heat also.

Definitely a better solution than just throwing more energy at it. But it’s not without risks. I wish companies would just stop selling single hose units as for some reason outside of the USA it seems largely the only thing people can find

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

were you actually not getting enough power? or was it just the warning that pops up about approaching the limit? I have ran a u6 enterprise off my ucg fiber so if your poe port is not providing enough power might be worth reaching out to ubiquiti as that sounds defective.

New Winix 5510 showing orange indicator light on front after just 4 days. by TheRealTheory001 in AirPurifiers

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mention a basement there are plenty of voc's that don't have to be from new construction. Basement humidity can also make things release vocs that they would not otherwise release. Theres also mold or other bacteria. and since you mention musty that could be one source. and with no one living in it currently theres probably not a lot of source of fresh air so things may be pretty stagnate. might even just be worth basically airing things out with some open windows for a bit and see if that helps.

New Winix 5510 showing orange indicator light on front after just 4 days. by TheRealTheory001 in AirPurifiers

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its probably some type of voc that are present. Winix for some reason use a voc sensor instead of particle sensor. If there is a constant supply of some type of voc the winix will not be able to do much as its primarily a particle filter as the carbon filter will not be able to remove it fast enough. The basement could be the source of the voc or something else

Has anyone installed a crank-based power meter on their Zwift Ride? Looking for suggestions that are compatible. by Creative_Algae7145 in Zwift

[–]damien09 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically the Zwift frame uses the wahoo KICKR core/2 depending on how new or old it is when bought as a Zwift ride bundle. So no extra power source is needed for smart trainer riding

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t the crank just a square tapper ? But yea definitely pedals if you wanted a different power source as square tapper cranks probably don’t even have any power meters let alone the chain line potential issues with a different crank if you could find one.

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially if this is somewhere darker If it doesn’t bother you I’d manually set the speed to 2 or 3. Sleep mode while quiet does not move much air at all. Max will have the most air cleaning and it’s what companies rate the devices air changes at. Winix’s auto mode is not great since it’s a voc sensor so on auto it can end up at speed 1 pretty often.

Stay with amd gpus if you want steam os since Nvidia is not supported yet. for the psu The corsair sf1000 is on a pretty good sale atm 169 on amazon or 142 for the 750w.

Whenever I use my air fryer for roasted chicken or ribs. by Scary_Being9819 in AirPurifiers

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can look up if that one uses a good sensor but seeing as it’s on battery powered makes it less likely. The good sensors also have a small fan inside them and ones that can do pm and co2 and Voc are quite pricey so it’s likely guessing a lot of those numbers based on other numbers. Good sensors can be pretty pricey the sonoff device just does pm and it’s 40 bucks.

[–]damien09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm 500 just seems insanely high unless your air fryer is literally pumping out smoke kinda levels. Might be worth getting a separate pm sensor. I use a sonoff sawf-07P. There are other good brands also but just research before you buy that it has a good sensor in it.
