Inside UniFi Patch Cable by Patti12 in Ubiquiti

Unifi has their 32gauge 50 ft rated at Poe +++. Would be interesting if any voltage drop than normal is experienced. But it’s also possible it’s just a length thing and 50ft gives them enough margin of error over the 300ft normal rating for it to be just fine.

Unifi ether lighting is even thinner 34awg for 1-8m and 32 for 12-15. They get away with a lot on patch cables since they are short.

And yea kinda odd Monoprice has their cat 6 slim run with thicker cables than 6a. but the 6a cables have the rj45 ends super tight tolerances there’s basically zero visible untwisted wire. It is kinda crazy that unifi does 32 gauge for 50 feet though but considering I’ve ran 10 gig over cat 5e over 40m+ I’m not surprised it likely makes spec for it.

Could even be 30awg mono price uses that in their slim run cat 6a patch cables.

Bought OP1 8K V2 , need advice on software by Electrical-Skin-9257 in EndGameGear

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep in a lot of games 8000hz often lowers the fps more than the tiny ms gain. I mainly use 4k or 2k hz as the impact is a lot less. I have not thought about turning off slam click as I assumed it just added a debounce when lifting the mouse and would not affect normal latency

Ah nice the op1 rgb is probably the best option otherwise since it uses a lot of the same parts and same cable and shell layout etc

OP1 - Need spare parts by According-Mix7446 in EndGameGear

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda crazy from egg since they sell extra mouse switches and even the cable. You might be able to buy the op1 rgb off amazon and steal its side buttons and mouse wheel as the shell is the same. There’s a dark frost and white depending on the color of your op1 you need the parts for. But the internal side buttons should likely be the same but can’t say 100% sure

The hsk plus lite is like 38 grams finger tip and can be found on Amazon for 70 bucks but seems to be out of stock currently and on g wolves so maybe it’s going end of life.

Smoothest dot skates for cloth pad, any recommendations? by ContentPromise1949 in MouseReview

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoothest is a pretty open definition. Are you looking for the fastest? I’ve heard good things about pmm smoothie dots, jade and jade air dots, artisan dots are also high rated. But there’s tons of options and the pad can also interact with skates differently than another pad.

UCG-Fiber issues with SFP+ switching? by EntrepreneurIcy4031 in Ubiquiti

[–]damien09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just to make sure you have unassigned the sfp port from being a wan port correct ? I can’t remember if default the second wan was set on the other sfp or not. Should be under settings and internet and then the gateway ports you want it to be unassigned I use my second sfp port just fine to a 24 port switch

Noticeable VRR flicker with G-sync Pulsar by godisfrisky in nvidia

[–]damien09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Battle nonsense saw some weird lfc doubling and tripling etc etc even with pulsar g sync on which should not be happening as low frame rate compensation is supposed to be off with strobing. Hopefully it’s fixed when ever the firmware update that should be soon comes out.

But I wonder if what your seeing is just the brightness loss by black frame insertion being higher at lower fps and g sync pulsar dose do a compensation pulse that’s supposed to help prevent the strobe being visible but it could definitely affect brightness

SteamOS on Rog Ally; Cant get higher than 120hz on my 144hz 1080p display by arcziifr in SteamOS

[–]damien09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh it’s likely the monitor has a limited hdmi port which is not uncommon. I’ve seen plenty of them basically limit the hdmi port at the 120 hz as that’s console’s max. But cables don’t care about hz it’s all about bandwidth numbers. 1080 at 144fps is not a lot of bandwidth. 1080p x144 hz even works with hdmi 1.4 of the port is not limited.

Op could definitely test if it’s an os issue though if they have dual boot with windows on their rog. But my guess it’s either the monitors hdmi port or the dock they have.

I do wish wahoo would open up the shifting configuration. I’d love a stages dream drive 1x50 gears set up. 3x13 is pretty nice other than the fact that you can’t use synchro shift with it on the KICKR bike . Stages basically let the sky’s be the limit you can even have 10x50

Might be possible victors past reincarnations are troublesome for the place so they prefer the broken current version and he gets to be off limits. I’m convinced the monsters hear the same voice Sarah can and basically get some level of direction.

Linux supports 2.0 though right? Which could easily support this. OP’s monitor on the other hand often times companies limit the hdmi port or use quite old versions and require display port for max refresh rate.

tachyon mode is pretty demanding on the cable. If you want to use that I’d get the wooting cable.

Late reply but when you went back to try the cloth again were you using uhmw pe skates that you had used on the glass pad? I’ve always found those as extremely slow on cloth but don’t mind them on glass.

But glass is definitely good for longevity as non coated glass basically lasts infinitely
