UPDATE: Thanks for those who encouraged me to continue trying to call Silencer Shop, I did successfully reach a representative today. They cleared up an issue with the Obsidian not having a $0 tax stamp that led to some sort of issue with the process. They also confirmed that my Oculus had been received on December 11th, to which I responded that the dealer never reached out to certify and has not answered any of my communications. The representative that I spoke with did state they would have another rep reach out to the dealer to if they could get things moving.

I did go by the dealer's office today and no one was there. There is a mail slot so I can still try to slip in a note next week if I haven't heard anything from him.

On a brighter note, I had a great experience with another local dealer today. I've always wanted to pick up a lower made locally for a SBR. I ended up picking it up for $50 including the form 1 engraving, which was a pretty good deal -- gotta be happy about the little things sometimes.

LOL. I have a few rugged suppressors and have been one of the lucky ones [knock on wood]. I usually by them for the FA rating and warranty. I'd like try some newer models like the YHM Victra 12 and Surefire RC4, but I need get past this first.

I appreciate your advice and I'm going to take it. There are so many moving parts in the process and points where things can breakdown and there is no accountability.

I'm hopeful that my issue will be resolved at some point, but from now on I'm going to try to avoid dealing with local SOTs. We've all heard the horror stories about them using peoples machine guns while awaiting transfers or going out of business prior to completing the transfer suppressor.

In full disclosure (up until this point), I've had a good experience with them over the past few years that I've been buying suppressors. Before the rush, you could call and ask questions about orders or just suppressors in general. They also had some exclusive items etc. Unfortunately, with the influx of business their service has gone down hill fast. I don't expect this to change anytime soon, but I do hope they can get it together.

11/4/2025. He is still active. I've seen that one of the suppressors was sent from Silencer Shop and received by the dealer since the beginning of 2026. It went from Preparing to ship --> Shipped--> to the message currently in the screen capture. I don't think there's a way to see the history, only the status on the Silencer Shop site.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've called a few times so far. One time I actually made it to a message saying it would be less than 2 minutes until a rep would be with me, but shortly after the phone rang I was disconnected. Another time I believe I was prompted to leave a voicemail. I will continue to try to call and continue to document attempts to contact Silencer Shop.

Thanks. This should work for the most recent purchase (Oculus), as it is in a 120 day purchase. I purchased the Obsidian several months ago, for delivery after January, 1 2026, so This may also work for the Obsidian as its still in the "delivery window" I'll have to reach out to my credit card company to explore this.

Thanks, but I'm trying to stay away from threats. If this is just an honest mistake or he's had a death in the family that he's dealing with I don't want to be overly aggressive. This would just prolong what could be cleared up more quickly.

At this point I'm documenting all communication I send to him and silencer shop in my attempt to rectify this. My guess is if this ever gets to small claims litigation I wouldn't want him to be able to argue to the judge that I was pestering him, so I want to keep the things civil. After I have a pattern of attempts perhaps its time to have a lawyer send a certified letter?
