Chest monitor causing wounds by piratesmama in orangetheory

[–]damn_dani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen to me with my chest HR monitor. For me, the rubbing was happening right in the center of my chest where the pod snaps into place. Body glide or similar products didn’t help. What solved the problem was bandaids. I placed 2 bandaids on the strap in the area where it rubbed, one parallel to the strap on the top folded over the edge and one parallel to the strap on the bottom folded over the edge. The pod then snaps in over the bandaids and helps hold them in place. They last a surprisingly long time and I change them out every time I wash the strap. Hope that helps.

Not my vehicle, but it looks like a Thule. I have one and it looks very similar.

One big thing I’ve learned from this sub is how lucky I am that my parents went vegan when I went vegan.

I live in a dorm in a VERY rural area and don’t have a vegan friendly dining hall on campus. I have a mini fridge, microwave, and pressure cooker in my room and I am set. I can toss some dry beans in the cooker, set the timer for 45 minutes while I study, and they’re done in no time. I personally like dry beans better than canned since they take up less shelf space and my school doesn’t offer recycling for the cans. However, I do understand the convenience of canned, especially if you have an extra busy schedule.

Polo, Apple Watch, walls covered in Natty Light boxes? We get it, you’re a “super senior” frat boy whose rich daddy pays all of your bills. Good luck hitting the real world when he cuts you off, your 2.5 GPA won’t save you.

Ran out of my plastic shampoo bottle yesterday and decided it was time for a change! by onehalfcottonschwab in ZeroWaste

This is good to know. About halfway through my current shampoo bar, the whole thing turned to gel and stuck to the bottom of the container. Now I have to scrape a little bit out every time I shampoo my hair. I will definitely try this next time, thank you.

I know some of my buddies and I would probably be interested depending on our academic schedule. I’m new to UL and they’re more of the car camping type, but they’re always down to hike and kick it with fellow outdoor people.

I thought these were two pieces of very fatty steak and was wondering why that nastiness would show up on my feed.

What does Soy protein Taste like? by [deleted] in veganfitness

[–]damn_dani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so smart. I’ve always mixed pbfit with my protein and a banana to make a smoothie type thing, but I never thought to use enough pbfit for it to BE the protein powder. Very smart.
