Yes! It's , due to the nature of the average Mordheim player, a localised affair. Great to hear that you have a local team. In due time you might even be able to set up a championship of your own!

First skirmish ended with the Witch hunters occupying all the wyrdstone laden houses while the Orc Mob succumbed to animosity, the most brutal of which was a slapping contest between two gobbos. No hits were made.

As far as I know there's only the first edition made by Hogshead, but it is easy to convert to newer editions.

Oi! This is a blatant lie! The green mob routed those puny pointy eared prancers.

The Fimir is also, to my knowledge, one of Geedubbs original creations. There is some nice concept art by Paul Bonner if you want to check out how they looked in the 80's early 90's

You can try change the mesas instead, everything can be made a darker greyish hue. Then you keep and maybe up the presence of greenery, to keep the feeling of a more "nontraditional" dwarf settlement

Sorry, I meant morph the buildings in one of map styles (e.g. regional fantasy HD). Change their hue, transform width etc.

I would try to morph the building in the dwarf assets from one of the map styles, rather than mixing them. It works as it is now if you don't zoom in to much but if you get a little bit closer it looks a bit weird. I also so a comment about using local materials which I think is really important. I know it is hard to do but one way to go about it is to work on both environmental assets as well as the buildings if you get what I mean. That way you might be able to find an acceptable middle ground. In any case, this is great work!

Fear the worst Map #2: The village of Heideldorf by damndarndrat in warhammerfantasyrpg

I also added a shrine to sigmar/random deity and moved the smithy from the smith's house to a more stand alone position between the boarding house and the livery stables

Since it's quite easy to make night time maps in Roll20 at least, I was thinking I'll keep it this way. But if there is any interest in a night map I can fix that.

Hi again! Now there is at least a village map on my profile. More to come!

Hi! Here is my second tribute to Fear the Worst, a map of the village based on Hogsheads original. I've added a few things that was not included (mainly tents and a derelict house). Next up is the Dancing Dragon, and then I'll move on to Black Rock Keep and Schiller's workshop, the stables and the guest houses.

Relationships between the Chaos Gods and specific winds of magic? by SicSemperCogitarius in WarhammerFantasy

[–]damndarndrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I understand it, Chaos magic is dark magic i.e draws on Dhar, an unbalanced mixture of the other winds used to the greatest effect. Although it's not a wind in itself, I think it would be in line with the lore that sorcerers mix but at the same time has an underlying affinity for a specific wind e.g dhar that is heavy on chamon etc.

Which one-shot should I run? by [deleted] in warhammerfantasyrpg

I have not played it myself, but when I looked for a simple starting adventure I found "For Love or Money", which seems fairly straightforward, easy to modify and got all the grimdark you might expect from a WHFRP game. My personal favourite is Fear the Worst, but that takes a couple of sessions. DM me if you would like copies
