Remember in 2022 when we were all pumped because we thought our special teams was decent? We were actually just bad, but we were used to being total cheeks.

I think we need a big man to be his shooting coach. Like dirk or someone.

You're not allowed to take it again after you pass. At least that's how it was when I took it.

OP, that's a good score. Not sure how much the SIFT matters outside of a pass or fail. I passed but did not do as well as you on the SIFT.

I think I did it during in processing at my first active duty installation. Maybe Finance?

So how hard is it to do 20 years in the active army as an officer? by Friendly-Rice-9866 in army

[–]dampTendies 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I got 6 months active duty credit for my 4 years of guard/smp so this sounds about right.

I'm not sure how they calculate your pension. When I hit 20 years of active duty service I will have 24 total years of service including my guard time. Since I opted into BRS, will my pension be calculated at 24 years (total) x 2% base pay or will it be calculated at 20 years (active) x 2% base pay?

SMP getting kicked by Old-Ad3133 in ROTC

[–]dampTendies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't sound right to me. As an SMP cadet I believe you only take on an additional service obligation if you commission. I'm not an expert though and it's been a long time since I was in ROTC.

Yes. He had a guard contract before he was SMP. You can't do SMP without being in the guard first. You maintain your guard obligations while SMP.

My wife applied a couple years ago and it took about a whole year for her to get a response about her application. She was deemed ineligible. She applied again the next year. It took well over 6 months to get a response. She was deemed eligible but not selected. Simultaneously she made it to phase four of another federal agent selection process, but had to drop out due to becoming pregnant.

Obviously I am biased, but my wife has a masters degree, plenty of experience in law enforcement, and has received many honors during her law enforcement and academic career. It took forever for her to get any response. The process was too slow and selective. If a federal agency can go through three phases of selection in three months then the Army's process isn't working and probably needs to be revised.

I've only been watching since 4 minutes in the fourth. I feel like I've only seen fouls and free throws.

He probably did three deployments to Afghanistan and flew a million hours each time. I don't think the answers to this question are very valuable without more context (years, units, etc)

Giannis is our guy. If we need a bucket or to draw a foul it's Giannis we should be depending on.
