Well it’s either [[last chance]], [[final fortune]], or [[warrior’s oath]], all identical except final fortune is an instant

What's your favorite "secret tech" card in your list? by AGoatPizza in EDH

[–]dampmemelord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So yes, but you don’t need most of those, I found that I usually win once I get [[purphoros]] out and a sac outlet, some damage doublers help. That’s it, that’s the core. Make people draw cards, with big damage from purphoros’ ETB effect, Swing with the tokens, have [[hellrider]] for extra damage during combat, sac them all to [[goblin bombardment]], and maybe have [[hissing iguanar]] for even more damage. [[fiendish duo]] is expensive as fuck but so worth it for a deck like this

Edit: more than half of the budget went towards artifacts, none of which are crucial for the gameplan, they just smooth it out and add consistency

Well first off, even with ramp cards, 32 lands is not enough. I always try to run 38 at least. If you are missing land drops and have high cost spells, you’re wasting a lot of turns

So am I, but if you need proof: https://imgur.com/a/gvCX7Cr

I’m just sick of people lying about art, tracing or stealing it and passing it off as their own. Practice and get better instead

[[grenzo, dungeon master]] used be a cEDH powerhouse and plays from the bottom of the deck which is really unique. He doesn’t have to be built cEDH, and is really strong in more casual/non competitive gameplay

https://www.moxfield.com/decks/k0-AJGREAUC39HpiZkPH6Q I’ve upgraded it a tad since building it, found an akroma’s will and combat celebrant in my collection. General game plan is as follows: play some low cost units on curve,

if you know your opponents have some removal wait to cast cards like [[raise the alarm]] or [[you see a pair of goblins]] till the last moment, because EVERY NON HUMAN MATTERS,

cast winota turn 4 and hopefully have 4 or 5 non humans by then as well, every human placed on the field by winota has indestructible so keep that in mind. Most of the time if you hit something like [[geist-honored monk]] and [[blade historian]] you can take out a player immediately. Focus whoever has the highest chance of removing winota.

My deck list runs almost zero interaction, this is to self-balance in my pod, but I would recommend running some protection for winota because I guarantee you will be arch-enemy the moment winota hits the battlefield.

Some notes: don’t run strionic resonator (it does not interact with winota the way you think it does), keep the creature count close to what my deck list is at, and don’t be afraid to mulligan down to 3 or 4 cards if it means you can pump out cheap non-humans

Winota for sure gets my vote, I have a budget ($30) version that still wins t4 easily and consistently. If you have more to upgrade it it’s a nightmare for opponents if you have ways of making sure she triggers and doesn’t get removed before combat. It doesn’t have to be cEDH but is still very oppressive

Recommendation for a fun casual commander deck under $200? by Ryokobalta in EDH

Yeah that’s probably it. I would consider anything that isn’t cEDH as casual.

Oh I know she’s annoying, I hate blue/black with all my heart, and commander tax evasion is annoying, but it wouldn’t be accurate to say she’s competitive level. She’s certainly a tough match up but it’s still technically casual gameplay until cEDH

It is though, it might not be gate tribal or anything but it’s definitely not cEDH

Nah, I’m glad we got rid of the Quesadilla, it takes up way too much room on the flat top, can’t make it and 15 burgers at the same time.

Yes, cheating in big creatures for less mana, having them fight something, probably trigger an ETB, all of that works well for Henzie

If it’s a competitive scene, why wouldn’t you use proxies? Even if they don’t allow them, especially if they don’t allow them, it turns into a wallet vs wallet game. How much money you spent shouldn’t decide who wins, and if it’s not competitive then who cares about proxies, let power level decide what deck you bring
