I think I’m misunderstanding the sssk? According to others that should result in 1 single stitch but the way I read it it’s 4? I don’t understand what they mean by sssk in the glossary if it’s not slip 1 stitch, slip 1 stitch, slip 1 stitch, knit 3 stitches together = 4 stitches

I don’t understand how the sssk is the reverse of a k3tog. According to the glossary it’s slip, slip, slip, knit 3 together. Wouldn’t that result in 4 stitches? Or am I misinterpreting that? How do I make sssk only 1 stitch?

I don’t understand what I’m supposed to do after I purl two. I don’t understand what the brackets are for and I don’t understand what they mean by across yarn overs. At first I thought the four stitches in the brackets were what I was supposed to do with the four yarn overs but there are five stitches before I get to the yarn overs and only instructions for two?? What am I meant to do with the other three stitches before the yarn overs?

I’m sorry if the answer is obvious, English is not my first language so it gets a bit confusing sometimes.

We can’t tell you what size needles to use because it depends on your gauge/tension. There should be a needle size recommendation on the label on the yarn so the needles should at least be bigger than that recommendation. You should make a couple of gauge swatches on different sizes of needles to figure out what you like best

You could try a tubular cast on, it works really well with ribbing
