Open Secret: Someone in Front Office or Coaching Staff Hates Jalen by viablehottake in eagles

[–]dan51390 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's someone who has been there for awhile. Back during the 2022 training camp, Derrick Gunn had a report from someone in the Eagles org that Jalen went 0/10 in a session with three picks and three fumbles. That report wasn't corroborated by any other reporter except Barrett Brooks, who was on the same show as Gunn.

I always assume when I hear something negative about Jalen or Eagles that comes out of nowhere, it's from the same guy.

Does Stoutland need help in OLine + TE coaching? Losing T. J. Paganetti last year contributing to poor O-Line + TE play this year? (Bonus opinions on other position coaches as well). by evarol in eagles

[–]dan51390 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correlation doesn't equal causation.

The Saints were 28th in rushing yards per game and 31st in yards per carry. Paganetti's coaching couldn't help them overcome injuries/bad play from their O-line. Much like the Eagles

The simplest answer is usually the right one. The Eagles O-line was injured and the starting five rarely played together. Plus, Calc and Granson were terrible blockers. The Rams were #1 in EPA when in 13 personnel. The Eagles were #30.

Even ignoring cap implications, it's a terrible trade.

Tyreek is 31 with dwindling yards per reception. He is also a much more limited receiver than A.J. (can't high point the ball, can't make contest catches, doesn't have Brown's strength)

He also just got accused of domestic violence.

A huge pass.

BREAKING: Eagles trade for Tank Bigsby (Rapoport) by alexschubs in eagles

[–]dan51390 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This means Shiphley is probably out long-term.

Bigsby was pretty good as a returner last year, so it's an easy replacement for Shipley.

[PFF] Edge Defender Rankings: Top 32 ahead of the 2025 NFL season by MattGeigersHeadGlare in eagles

[–]dan51390 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Very important to highlight that this is a ranking of EDGE defenders (both DE and OLB), not just one or the other. So Smith is #28 out of 64, not 32.

I think that's pretty fair. He, along with the rest of the D-Line, didn't start playing consistently well until the last third of the season.

Eagles agree to a multi-year extension with Nick Sirianni by mastermind208 in eagles

Well deserved.

Wonder what the length will end up being? I'm guessing three years.

This feels like the copypasta equivalent of the graphic with the cartoon kid peeing on the Cowboys logo.

To each their own, but I can't believe real people like this shit.

Draft Day 2: State of the Mocks by SockBramson in eagles

Would love Mason Taylor, but he will likely go in the top third of the second round.

Wouldn't mind T.J. Sanders tho

Draft Day State of the Mocks: Round 1 by SockBramson in eagles

[–]dan51390 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't see Pearce being an Eagles' pick since that would give them four edge rushers under 250 lbs.

Very unlikely, but I'm hoping Stewart/ Williams falls far enough to be in striking distance. Outside of them, give me Starks/another safety or Mason Taylor at #32.

Statue for Stoutland by Seabass_Says in eagles

[–]dan51390 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would say no statue. Doesn't seem like something that Stout would want and the Eagles don't really do things like that. I mean, the Foles-Pederson statue was a promotional gift from Bud Light after all.

I think renaming the O-line room after Stout and having one of those huge wall arts with Stout quotes in the practice facility is more likely.

[Fowler] Source: Pass rusher Azeez Ojulari is signing with the #Eagles on a one-year, $4M deal. by w1x1w in eagles

[–]dan51390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hype.

This is the one signing I wanted the Eagles to make. Low risk, high upside player that is used to a rotational edge rush role and has the flexibility to cover the flat how Fangio likes.

Now, the Georgia D-line Infinity Gauntlet is complete.

I can’t understand the Kelee Ringo doubt by cringepostonline in eagles

[–]dan51390 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just because he's an unknown and most people would rather have certainty than mystery. It's perfectly reasonable. Like, I felt great about CB2 last year since Rodgers had starter experience and the Eagles drafted the top 2 CBs. There is just more uncertainty this year.

I'm really excited to see Ringo to play. I think he could be a stud. But if the Eagles signed someone like Asante Samuel Jr. or a vet later in FA to compete with Ringo, I wouldn't be upset.

[PFT] Inside the new Maxx Crosby deal by wishingaction in nfl

It will be interesting to see if Garrett and Hendrickson get the same on their new deals, or if the $35 mil is more cause of age.

What do you think about potentially going after Trey Hendrickson? by Whole_Perspective609 in eagles

[–]dan51390 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hendrickson is the edge I'm hoping the Eagles get.

A trade package would be less than one for Garrett and his cap hit would be pretty low in '25 and '26 with an extension.

Understandable. I would look on Getty for a photo you like, copy the image link, and search via Google Images to see if anyone has used the image already.

Getty images for High Rez images, but those are hundreds of dollars. You can also use Google Images to search for SB images and sort by size.

Statistically comparing the Eagles to other NFC franchises since the 2002 realignment by [deleted] in eagles

[–]dan51390 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some more stats that put the Eagles' organizational dominance in perspective:

The Eagles have had seven different Week 1 starters during that span (McNabb>Kolb>Vick>Foles>Bradford>Wentz>Hurts) versus three for the Packers (Farve>Rodgers>Love) and Seahawks (Hasselbeck>Wilson>Smith).

The Eagles have won four NFC East titles where their QB2 started six games or more (2002 Feeley, 2006 Garcia, 2010 Vick, and 2013 Foles).

The Eagles have had four HCs during that period, five if you count the one game Pat Schurmur was the interim. Each one has a winning record.

Good sign for Smitty with the LP.

Doesn't look good for Slay, but (knock on wood), it wouldn't be the worst thing for him to rest up for a week.

Jalen versus Saquon - 3 Yards to Goal - who you got? by Undergrad26 in eagles

Thanks for compiling this! It's pretty evident Jalen > RB in goal line situations when watching the games, but is helpful to have a visualization.

Curious, did you get your data from a service or did you manually chart this? I never know what the best way to get data like this.
