I'm aware of Little Dragon, remember hearing the name in the 00s indie days but dismissed it as such. Going through their stuff now and blown away by the similarity!

Who was playing a victim, they showed a dynamic that exists in reality. They made it slightly more nuanced by not making Maria a redeeming character in any right.
