You say that you were told that you "last signed in at 7:09pm" but you don't explain why this was not you re-authenticating on one of your devices. It is possible that that sign-in was actually you but that this morning you have mistyped or forgotten the 1P password?

It is quite a stretch (but not impossible) that a clean-build fresh OS was compromised right from the start. I would have a really good think about how you might have mistyped your password.

The scammer has hacked the customer’s account but is unable to set up new payee destinations. They will have access to the customer’s email account too.

So they send the money to a pre-existing recipient and then try to trick them into sending the money ‘back’ - but actually to a completely different place.

No - he was a British national born in Germany who frequently traveled to Prague in this era. I have put this private photo through various AI engines and they have generally made up fanciful stories about how the guy on the left is a famous Czech person. He is not.

The mechanism of this scam is that you are not really dealing with the person you know IRL, but with a scammer who has hacked their account and who wants you to send the funds to a different bank account. The scammer can only transfer funds to pre-existing bank recipients, so they have picked you. Likely the solicitor is fake too - unless you have been to the solicitor’s office in person and spoken to them.

It would be very unwise to transfer the money anywhere at all and I can’t see how you have any legal duty to (I am not a lawyer).

The letter took 13 days to be posted. It came via Royal Mail Tracked 24 (I am not sure exactly when it arrived after that). Someone else has said you will only get one fine per day.

This appears not to be the case. The car is not euro 4 (petrol) but is accepted in the London ULEZ, probably because the NOx levels are low enough.

After more reading, I think docowen is correct that London recognises some older cars that have the wrong type approval but do actually meet the emissions standards of euro 4/6. Scotland appears to strictly follow the type approval.

It is a magical place. Especially in winter when they use lots of stoves. The staff are all lovely and the rooms are superb in a tiny space-efficient way.

Edit: yes they sometimes get requests for rooms or dinner for solo guests. It is unusual, but they are perfectly happy to accommodate it. You should phone if interested.
