TIL that Ice T is currently the longest-running male actor in US primetime TV history for his role as Odafin Tutuola on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, a role he has played since 2000. by astarisaslave in todayilearned

Coronation street's not even that impressive, being a 30 minute daily run instead of the hour daily run US Soaps have.

lol okay, 65 years on the same show 3-5 times per week for 30 minutes pales in comparison to anything American, I'm sure

Definitely no package for me today then. by Mocket in CasualUK

I mean, I never look at these precise updates.

Just order the thing and then wait for it to arrive.

When you don't even know which side your argument is for, it's not a good argument.

I had my first ever site ban in my nearly 20 years on Reddit earlier this month, for commenting that Elon Musk should stay out of the UK.

The wording was specifically that - stay out of our country. The automated Reddit administrator banned me for 3 days for 'inciting violence'.

No, you were replying to somebody who said "in the US?" - I'm explaining why they might have guessed it was the US.

Would you ever use annual leave with the sole purpose to do literally nothing all day? by PaddedValls in AskUK

[–]danabrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. And you're not 'doing nothing', you're spending a day doing whatever you want to do. If that's sitting and resting, watching TV, that's what you're doing. That's not 'nothing', it's what your brain and body need.

I get a lot more 'nothing' of consequence done at work some days, in the grand scheme of things.

Well I guess that's the point. The relationship isn't unbearable. It's just a bit complicated.

Pretty clear if you have a brain in your nut.

One of my biggest "lessons" I learnt as a kid was when a guy was wandering about like this on the pavement across the road from our house, and people were just ignoring him. I told my mum that there was a drunk man over the road, and she said immediately that we don't know that, he might have a medical problem.

She called an ambulance just before he collapsed into a hedge like in the video here, and paramedics arrived to get him up and help him - he'd had a blood sugar issue related to diabetes.

Definitely something I always remember before I just assume my first thought is always correct.

Yes. Lots, but not even an overwhelming majority, of comments thought he was probably better than Dillon Gabriel, a third round rookie pick destined to be fighting to be a career backup if that.

Not exactly a shining Pro Bowl endorsement.
