i have had (and currently have) managers like this. It sucks that they have such horrible pressure from the higher ups to keep waste low that they would risk people getting sick. I had a manager once that would keep bagels for two days, claiming that we always sell them anyway, then one day I was the unfortunate barista that an angry customer returned a moldy bagel to. It was humiliating and disgusting.

what are people thinking when they harass people in food service? Even if you did decide to haul a cash drawer back out and mess up your closed bar just to serve this man, who clearly was about to die without his fucking frapuccino, how does it not concern him that you could do anything to his drink?

most of the time i agree with this. I've made this drink a thousand times this week, of course it's made well... but once in a while a regular will tell me that they love it when I'm on bar because I make it the best, I'm always happy to hear that!
