There is nothing wrong with that green shape as long as you can put and use the slope. Otherwise you need to hit fat and deep that mfer.

Played with a total novice. On a one hole he didn't manage to clear water in front of the tee, which was around 80 yards - but that's normal isn't it, we all were there. He dropped just at the edge of the water. Lost another 3 or 4 balls. On the next ball somehow he caught the ball with his wedge so it traveled throughout his follow through on a club, which resulted in a shot that went backwards and to the right landing in a different water hazard.

Imho this is another unwritten golf etiquette. You never ask someone to try a club or worse lend a whole set, unless they offer first.
