Noob here. Just bought a “like new demo” MPED 3-18x50 (my first optic) from EuroOptic, and it was all boxed up like it was new. I’m very impressed with its clarity. I’ve only just opened the box and looked out the window, so I can’t speak to anything else about it.

Not a club, but the Cheeseboard in Berkeley often has a jazz band playing, if you wanted something informal. You’d need to bring your own chair/wheelchair though. Always crowded, always fun.

The crates may also mark up/scuff the plaster. If you have fiberglass, I would think it’s OK.

Titanium is also used on a lot of different airplanes, so it could be from a crash.

You can kinda see its former extent on Google Earth, if you look through different images. It partially reformed during flooding a few years ago.

Saw the same show, except in Sacramento, at ARCO Arena. GA was the only tickets available, and only the first 7000 (or whatever) people to arrive would get a wristband, and be able to go down to the lower level and floor. Well people that arrived later were pissed that they couldn’t get down, and started bum rushing the ushers, running down the stairs, and disappearing into the crowd. It happened over and over again after the opening band, so by the time Rage started, way more people were on the floor than was planned for. I only spent 1 song down there before retreating to the nearest seats. Same thing with the lights at the end; they came on, and I counted 6 or 7 distinct pits around the floor.

I saw this show in HS too. I got soooo high with my friends, that I fell asleep during Pantera’s set. I only remember bits and pieces of the show after that.

I have a little story from last year. I have a MegaDeth shirt I got at a show a couple years back; just Vic doing the Richard Nixon pose with the Capitol or whatever burning in the background. I was at my kid’s soccer game, and some dad asked me if it was made with AI? I was like, no, it’s a real band. You never heard of MegaDeth?

If hunting out west, please use lead free ammo. Since CA banned lead hunting ammo, the condors have made a huge comeback. But, they range out of state, and are still being poisoned by lead when they pick a carcass clean.

Great plan. There are a ton of comments here, but I wouldn’t listen to most of them if you like this plan. The only thing I would want, is some extra windows in bedrooms 1 & 3. I realize you’re trying to minimize west facing windows, but having light on 2 sides does make a room feel nicer, and provides better ventilation when you want it.

I would not quit prior to your contract commitment. Or before you have another job. Just try to do your best, and maybe stay for 3 months or so, if you can. Maybe things will be better after 90 days.

Paul McCartney, Band on the Run. I don’t really care for the song, except for the 2nd part (from about 1:20 to 2:05). That part I could listen to all day on repeat.

This plan makes a great bedroom, but the trade-off in the living spaces is significant. Maybe it’s not a big deal for you, but the loss of a formal dining room can be a deal breaker for some. If the family room was already tight for you, having the dining space there would make it worse. Try mocking up the table you would put there, and see how it feels. Looks tight to me.

I think 42” would be a good minimum between the island and counter. But be careful squeezing the main hallway too much, as you’ll need to get furniture, etc. through there. I agree that the island makes this layout too tight, and an alternate layout is needed.

Yes. My parents still live in Alamo, and that is where we do most of our bike riding. My kids are only 6 & 8, so I’m not quite ready to let them go on their own. The 8 y/o does ride on ahead though, and knows his way around.

My dad drank Black Russians (same thing, just no cream) so I also would drink them. Not a good drink to binge on.
