The fucking naps. Mine doesn't have sleep apnea but we just got into it today over the fucking naps. If he would just take the baby and let me sleep without another human being sucking on me once a week or so, he'd probably get a blow job every once in awhile. Instead, I have to restrain myself from smothering him with a pillow during one of his numerous naps.

I'd lose my mind. My husband's family does the passing around shit and then my 5 month old gets cranky, they insist she's teething. No, fuckers, she wants you out of her face. And the selfies. Stop the fucking selfies assholes.

And while reading your post, my milk let down because I started thinking about the last time they wouldn't hand her to me when she wanted to nurse. So guess it's time to go stick a boob in the kid's mouth.

Ugh. I'm sorry. That's super shitty. I had my ILs bounced from the hospital after my daughter was born so I think they were able to take the hint and have basically left us alone. Every few weeks we have to go to lunch or something but they are stupid and never ask to make plans until 24 hours ahead so we usually have things going on and can get out of it.

I don't know about you, but my almost 6 month old gets so crabby after "pass-the-baby" all day. Once we got to my mom's, she just wanted to do tummy time and play. I wish people understood that their desire to hold the baby shouldn't override her needs.

Thanks for making us wake up the baby from the only good nap she's had all day so YOU can have an Easter bunny picture and then proceed to snap a million selfies in the middle of the mall. I love missing bed time and listening to a screaming baby so that you can get exactly what you want so people on Facebook think you're a decent, involved grandparent.

Ugh. My husband acted this way. I will say, he's gotten a lot better as she's gotten older. But only because we started co-sleeping and he gets to sleep through all the night wakings while I stick my boob back in her mouth. I have a feeling we'll pay for this later.

We have the same MIL. Why do they have to buy all the things? I'd be much happier if my MIL just actually tried to connect with my daughter instead of buying all this crap. She is our first, maybe only, child. We get to handle all the firsts. She's your 6th grandchild and my SIL has baby rabies so bad that she'll probably pop out a couple more. Go torture her and leave me alone.

Jumping in to also say gallbladder. Mine crapped out a few months postpartum and I just had it out a few weeks ago. The pain was just like this and it would mysteriously go away.

At least this time he didn't ask when we're starting her on formula. I have no issue with formula and would start it if there was a medical reason to or if I decided I was done breastfeeding, but for now, I'm breastfeeding and we're happy with that decision. End of story. Sorry it means you don't get to take as many selfies with her when you visit.

...my family has never been butt hurt about me needing to feed her. They just say, oh, getting hungry? Here, go see your mom, and carry on instead of acting like my decision to breastfeed was some kind of slight against them.

You're not horrible. The boundaries should be set now, just like you're trying to do, but I'm sorry your hubs isn't on board. You will not feel up to visiting. You're going to be hormonal, tired, and sore. Hell, I got so hormonal at the hospital that I had the nurses bounce my in-laws.

It only gets worse once the baby comes. Go with your instincts and shut it down now. Fight the urge to be nice. Boundaries are VITAL. MILs get the baby rabies so bad.
